Whats the story behind the syndication version of Gunsmoke retitling it "Marshall Dillion" I figured we get a different episode intro , but its the same right down to the title seq and the name Gunsmoke..what makes these Marshall Dillion episodes ?

There does certainly seem to be some editting going on with rawhide, so the western channel will be an ok source to watch the unreleased episodes but not for archival purposes. I really hope CBS will at least finish the 30 min gunsmoke this year, the 30 minute ones are my favs. I would'nt mind...

After watching Season 3 on DVD, these are pretty unwatchable in my book especially for the price I paid, I guess if I was buying a $10 Public Domain release I wouldnt Gripe

Did you ever look at the shows, they are about what Wagon Train From Timeless looks like. Its sad Wagon Train looks great on Encore then terrible on the 16mm dubs we are getting these Rawhide's look like they are from 16mm masters.
