The Drug thing for Christopher and Julianna was basically on Purpose to show how Quickly an Addict can go back to their old ways. In their case it was the Tea. Tea is after all a drug. She was purposely avoiding robotussin, and what sh chose as a substitute caused them to once again become addicted.
Yeah I don't see the Point of Arguing, if you don't like the show or it's not doing it for you , move on, watch something else. It is after all TV. Let us who enjoy it, talk about it.
I think we can rule out a war. It's going to end resolving the Characters to some degree, I think Tony will end up back where he began, it's possible the conflict will come from Phil's Junior guy who seemed to be giving Tony all sorts of grief.
If you look at the history of Season's finale's they were all like this. Although this was'nt really a season ender. They always have an episode that is high on action like 2 weeks ago then they finish off quietly. Remember Pussy got whacked the episode before the season ender. TI knew everyone...
If you're Canceling HBO when Sopranos Ends you never get to see Deadwood, Rome, Bill Maher,Big Love, Curb You Enthusiasm, HBO Has a lot of great other shows as well.
And.. that leading him to his death has Led Tony to his Impasse because he has to retalite due to one of his made guys getting whacked. And on the Other side since it was Tony's Duty to Whack him and he did'nt it will also bring Consequences. Which add to the layer that was already there because...
I don't loathe the Johnny Cakes Storyline like some around here but I agree we could've actually spent that time on Meadow's or AJ's Storyline, but alot hate them around here as well.
I Figured the "Whacking" Crowd would like it. It was an all around good episode and the "Carm" stuff continues Carm's Eventual Path, what with seeing Adrieanna which leads to her talking to Tony Next week. I Know are expecting a war but be prepared Chase may do this off screen between the break...
OkI have to admit I was a bit let down by this episode. The Whole Johnny Sacks Story line was a bit of a whimper, the energy was just not in this episode, It did provide a bit more on the Janice/Tony Relationship, but it's pretty evident to regular viewers that Janice is a standin for Livia, and...
Man I disagree this has been a great season so far it has the best balance of the Dramatic character stuff and the Mob related stuff, the show is just so well written and it's so much heads and shoulders above so many other shows, it's just in an elite all by itself. If people say it's missing...
That was definately the point the episode was trying to make, it's that the old mob is done, finished because corporations are the new Mob.
Easter is a holiday when usually everyone is home with family. Memorial Day is the First "Get Away" vacation time of the summer when everyone is out side...
There's always been a divide between the people that watch and Understood that this was a Drama that looks at a Family (That Just happens to be in the Mob) and the Other Half that watch because they think this is a MOB drama. A Goodfellas Lite if you will. From the 1st season on I knew where...
Vito is somewhat of a minor Character, I think what this storyline is setting up is what will become of Tony's Power within his crew because he is failing to act on Vito by taking him down. Of course we all know this is coming later in the season, but will it be done with Tony's blessing? AJ is...
Technically Isn't Tony in Title still the Underboss? They made Junior Figurhead Boss of the Family, to take the fall, and I don't think that was ever disputed. Now eveyone knows tony is the BOSS but for the sake of the Govt isn't Junior still the Head of the Soprano Family
Charlie a very good analysis and right on the money, especially remembering the Joke shot. I'm gonna have to go back after this season is over and rewatch S1-4
Yep I too suspect that Tony will become very introspective of his life now that it was almost taken away from him. I wonder if he too will want out, whatever happens I suspect the ramifications will be what the rest of the season delivers
re: the ratings I know alot of my Friends and Acquaintances were miffed at the long layoff. They Had HBO mainly for the show and dumped it and are waiting for the DVD's , what's 8 more months after 2 years. So I'm not surprised at the lower ratings
Jesus I watched the Galactica Finale Before Watching the Sopranos tonight and It kicked me in the Gut with something I did'nt see coming and Sopranos did it again to me Holy Shnike ! But after 2 years they could've trown us a bone and showed us two eps. Welcome Back Indeed!
