yep, noticed too and on some Carpenter/Cundey shot flicks. It's due to the anamorphic lens while shooting and is on the original film elements as it is not in every shot.

I actually like it, it's so far out there it grabs your attention. For marketing, it's brilliant. :)

Ok, this is TOO funny. Everyone in the AVSforum DRACULA thread was bitching about the new cover, so I made a joke about making a Wienerdog version (using my Buffy) and look what someone photoshopped...! ;)

I think CE3k would be a bigger draw than Poltergeist. BUT, Poltergeist will be released on both formats...

I'm still waiting on "The Perfect Storm" Hardly a "classic" but I like it an awful lot.
