Looks like TAPS (at least Jason and Grant) are making ALOT of dough nowadays. They have merchandise, http://www.topheavyclothing.com/catalog/gh...-taps-m-12.html have classes at their R.I. office in Ghost hunting, http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society...ps/classes.html...
I hear ya Scott. I too will watch in the fall. I just hope it goes back to more of the classic GH then more of the Manson episode style eps. We don't need "guest stars" of psychics, wrestlers...
from his blog... "OK, it has been brought to my attention that there is a few people out there claiming that first off Production manipulates our thermal footage. Now these people are just idiots..." Wow. I was expecting a little more from Jason. Nice way to handle criticism. People...
Actually from reading the SciFi.com boards. Many who post there also used to post at the TAPS board. The last few eps with more and more staged scenes, psychics etc have resulted in many getting banned. Also the SAPS (skeptics) guy who challenged some of the evidence on the board relays his...
yup. Go to TAPS site, sign up for the 18+ board. Say anything negative or challenging, the diehard fans first descend on you then your posts are removed and then banned.
I fully agree. This show certainly WAS different from Most Haunted. But if the season finale is any indication that's exactly where it's going. Basically the show was a big promo for a new horror film and was undisclosed. They are now using a "psychic" just like Most haunted. He also happens to...
Hi Jordan. Yeah, I'm really bummed. I agree they MIGHT not have known about the film but it seems very doubtful. I think there were some weird legal thingies going on which might have prevented the show from saying anything but at least a comment about it now could help. I do hope they get...
sorry for all the rants, guys... I just feel let down. Man, one really bad show decision and the whole credibility of TAPS can apparently be up in the air. Apparently on TAPS's own boards, anyone who brings these issues up is attacked by the rabidly faithful and then banned almost immediately...
Someone else at the SCI FI board noted what I saw. That the numbers in temp readings in the thermal cam shots seemed doctored. One number was jittering out of sync with the others and I thought, "hmmm, that's been doctored..." Having no way to show this, I kinda let it slide but many at the...
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=39760247 Well, Brian DEFINITELY looks like he's trying to make the most of his 15 minutes.....! $99 for dinner and a chat with Donna, Brian and the rest of these, ummm... investigators. man, there's $ to be made in ghosts nowadays!
Well, if next season Jason and Grant DON'T have one of those then I agree it's proabaly a bunch of hooey. The guy seemed just a wee bit too slick too, (hey, it IS L.A...)
Well, our comcast cable (Bay Area) actually had next week's episode on OnDemand. Okay, a new homeowner (builder of his own house who seemed VERY LA...) who built his house a few years ago 200 feet from where the murders took place had been expericncing very weird phenomena. Taps met their "LA...
Yeah, VERY different. Especially how Jason and Grant seemed so serious and skeptical about anything whatsoever back then. They kept razzing Steve saying, "You got anymore dust for us to look at...?" The show had a very funky, homemade vibe too. Now it seems like it's getting MUCH more Hollywood...
So what did everyone think of last nite's ep...? I'm glad they didn't do much of that awkwardly staged stuff. I am surprised that they shlepped all the way down to Texas (by car obviously since Steve won't fly...) and just stayed one nite on that HUGE aircraft carrier and they only got 1/2 an...
I've debated trying this as I have lots of good recording gear but I'm almost afraid to. My sister and I had many odd expericences growing up and my friends and I had some pretty chilling ouija sessions years ago, some that went bad and it's almost like opening a door. Sometimes, best not to...
Glad to hear you're all ok, Gerry. And yes, I'm only being critical just because the show does seem to be changing and not for the better. They really need to drop these little scenes as they totally blow the mood because they just scream fake and really take away some credibilty from the...
agreed. It's happening more and more often and pretty soon there won't be any "reality" in this reality show left. When it started it seemed funkier, more low budget and looked much more convincing. Once the director starts thinking he's filming a movie instead of just documenting the events...
Gerry, spooky stuff going on! How goes it now?
I totally agree, Jordan. That was one of my earlier complaints about the show (though as pointed out, I went overboard describing it earlier...) That coming into the Taps office scene was ridiculous. So obviously rehearsed, staged, directed...
Completely agreed. Either he was trying to make the vibe "spookier" which is what Most Haunted got busted doing, (meaning, he's acting) or he is SERIOUSLY in the wrong line of work. :)
