Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: T2 Judgment Day - Skynet Edition

Not to mentioned the PS3 PQ is a little below some of the better standalones, such as the Panasonic BD35-80. They also use less energy than the PS3.

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: T2 Judgment Day - Skynet Edition

Nelson, I do think the Skynet release is an improvement over the original version. It has superior color, contrast, and blacks. The image also has pretty good clarity and much better compression. The original release had a lot of compression artifacts and video noise. I also think Skynet is...

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: T2 Judgment Day - Skynet Edition

Agreed - I could never justify that price - especially when we'll likely see a new transfer at some point. The $15 price seems very reasonable for the Skynet.

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: T2 Judgment Day - Skynet Edition

I believe the original UK version is region free. The UK version actually has a hair more detail than the original Lionsgate version, but has much better compression. It also appears the original Lionsgate version has a hair more detail than the Skynet version - at least here...

Thanks, Kevin. I'm still on the fence for this release because of the DNR issue. I may still try and find the original UK release.
