The Sony BDP-S300 in my daughter's room doesn't have the original factory firmware. The firmware was last updated about a year ago, but I don't know offhand what the revision number is. I can check tonight.

If all this is true, I don't understand why Image can't freakin' ANNOUNCE that it's happening. They're obviously aware of the widespread issues we're having. If they were doing a new replication run, you'd think they'd WANT everyone to know about it.

I emailed Image on 10/09, but they never replied. In the interim, I've received a replacement set from Amazon, which is also defective. I just now emailed Image again. We'll see what happens.
