After seeing The Prestige a second time this afternoon, I'm glad it's number one but based on the film, it deserves more than that number. It's just a ridiciously great film. But Touchstone shouldn't worry. The budget on the film was only 40 million. They'll top off close to 60 million and...

Here's hoping for at least 130 million before Dead Man's Chest opens next Friday.

Shawn, I had the same problems as well. Essentially, you take Johnny Depp away from that first film and put someone else in that role and the film doesn't hold. He's the glue along with some astounding CG from ILM. It sounds as if its the same thing here; Depp the glue and ILM's work on...

I truly hope that Returns has a strong, strong holiday because it deserves it. I'm hoping for at least 135 million by next Friday. Is it possible? Depends on these next four days starting tomorrow.

Estimates are out adn M:I III made about 48.5 this weekend and frankly, I'm pissed about it. Audiences today will let something like Failure to Launch make damn near 100 million dollars and this film can't get to at least 70 this weekend? Say what you want about Cruise but he brings it...

Friday's numbers are 17 million for M:I III. Looks like it's 60 plus million dollar weekend. That seems rather low. Sucks, because the film was damn good for an action film.

Prequel instead of sequel. That's the talk. Glad that it got off to a strong start.

It could go either way. Depends on the media blitz leading up to it. If it's anywhere near what Gibson's The Passion was, we could see huge numbers. I still believe it will be huge. Not 300 million huge, but could be close. Still, at the end of the day, it was good quest tale that's been...

After having read The Da Vinci Code over the weekend and realizing the enormous success and popularity of the novel and reading up on the controversy, I think the film has a serious shot at challegning Dead Man's Chest for top grosser next year. As much as I want to believe Superman Returns...
