How long ago? I think it took about 2 weeks to receive a reply but eventually I did and the replacement disc arrived shortly after.

FYI: I wrote to Image about 3 weeks ago and just received e-mail confirmation that the new disc 4 is being shipped. The cool thing: I live in Germany. :) So they're honoring international customers as well.

Out of curiosity: Did anyone not receive an answer from Mrs. Johnson but still receive a replacement disc?

Little update on my part as well: While disc 4 will not load at all on my Panasonic BD50 it loads fine on a Buffalo BD-ROM drive that I received today. However: The only episode I skimmed through is A Big Tall Wish and it acts up just as described (pixelation etc.).

I agree. The absolute and total silence exhibited by Image on this matter is very disappointing to say the least. And given the rather high price these sets have to begin with I certainly have no interest in purchasing any further possible duds.

Interesting to hear it plays fine on the BD60. Then again, it's been ages since the BD50 has had a firmware update (and to be honest I'm starting to doubt it will ever get another one). I agree with the sentiments stated above that this issue might be fixable via firmware update. Especially...

Same here (using the latest firmware). First disc out of at least 800 that won't play on this player.
