Well, I'm glad the most seem thrilled and very happy with this DVD but, I'm very disappointed in the extras.
First let me say that the video transfer and audio are both top notch. The movie is amazing looking and the soundtrack (DTS especially) is one of the best I've heard. On the other...
Sorry, I didn't she that post on the last page.
Small rant here. I just don't understand why Par. and Fox had that press conference a few months ago when it seems that a lot of plans have changed. I now that plans do change sometimes but, why not wait until you know what you are doing...
Why are none of the DVD news websites reporting on that press release? Seems like big news to me. Does anyone know who released the PR? According to the release above DTS will be on all 3 versions. When will we ever get a clear answer?
Are we ever going to get an announcement about this set. Less then 2 months away and no official word on what will be include on the set. What gives Paramount?
Correct me if I'm wrong but, if you have a DVD-RW drive you don't need a region free DVD player. You could buy the R2 DVD and then rip it to your hard drive, remove the region coding and burn it to a DVD-R. It then should play in any DVD player.
Another question is: What features have been cut from the 4 disc set to make a 3 disc set? I hope it wasn't the 3 hour doc in favor of fluff like the HBO crap.
Didn't know about the 3 hour doc, I take back what I said. I still hate every HBO first Look I have seen though and Iwish they would stop putting them on DVDs.
I just wish Paramount would confirm the features already.
Are we going to get a brand new in depth making of documentary? I'm talking about something at least an hour long, hopefully closer to 2 hours. If not, then this DVD will be below par when compared to others like the Star Wars DVDs, LOTR EE, Hellboy DC and many other DVDs that have great docs...
From the digitalbits.com report:
I think this means that the branching feature will not just jump to the new scene but include the above as well when you "branch off" to view them. This will make it feel even less like an extend version, which Cameron wants, and more like a look at what...
