Dave, You're welcome! Yes, an internet connection is the fastest solution to uopgrading the firmware. BTW, here's some info from Toshiba's site, about V2.3:

Dave, It was specifically said in the description of the update that problems with the DVI connection were solved. Here and there testimonies of members of this and a few other forums have confirmed that. I'm not totally sure if the one you're referring to is one of those, but chances are...
Craig, You're in the right subforum (not in the right thread - this one is about the firmware upgrades :) ) to ask any question you want about HD DVD players. If more experienced owners know the answer, they will be only happy to tell you. Fire away, either using a thread about the...
Paul, The Bourne Identity played fine on my machine (still fw 2.0 too). I haven't played Supremacy yet. Never experienced it during play (or when not playing a disk, except after the one time during my 'initial setup phase'. I probably made a mistake then, but I don't know what exactly)...
Did you disconnect the 360 from your LAN? If they have the same IP-address.... In fact, it's rather easy, so there must be something rather trivial (and hence irritating :) ) wrong in your internet setup. Cees
Jorge, Although there are sites where you can download an ISO-image, Toshibas own site is not one of them. To download the update from Toshibas site, you only need to connect your player to the internet and start the upgrade. (If you haven't done so, you may need to set up the internet...
Tina, That's bad of them! Did you also consider upgrading through the internet connection on the machine? I personally did it that way (but I had to, practically) and within 2 minutes I had a brand new version! Cees
Just updated my Tosh (own it 2 days now) to 2.0 through the internet. It arrived with version 1.4 (:emoji_thumbsup: ), and although I'm aware of the fact that 2.1 may be near, I decided to perform an update just to be sure that (and how) it works. I didn't think I should try and get the...
Steve, Next posts about this subject will be off-line, I promise, but this might be important to others too. If you initiate it from the player, does it "know" where to find the updates, and if so, is that an URL you can change in the settings of the player, somewhere? Or is it a fixed...
Steve, Through the LAN and off a website on the internet, I guess. Could you also use the following procedure: download the firmware file, place it in a folder on a harddrive on one of your PCs and then update the player from your own disk without connecting to the internet? Cees
