Can you clarify what problem you're having with casting from the Chrome browser? I use it to send audio video from my pc to television all the time and have never had a problem with it.

I use my chromecast on virtually a daily basis with 95% of the viewing being Netflix or YouTube from my phone, and the rest being video from my pc
