It looks like they revised the Thusday take to 9.1 million, down from 11.1 million that we saw yesterday. I was almost expecting it to make MORE this weekend than it did yesterday, based on the early Thursday results, but if it only has a drop of 15-20%, I guess that is still very impressive...
For what it's worth, LotR has an overall cinemascore of A-. Broken down, it got A-'s in each category, except for the Female 21-34 category where it scored an A. I've read this site is good for getting a good idea of general audience reaction to a film.

I dont think anyone can predict how well LotR will do until the end of next weekend. That said I think their prediction is low, and I think it will make at LEAST $250 million. Hopefully the outstanding reviews will translate into outstanding word of mouth and this film will get some strong...

As to my prediction, I think all 3 will do really well :) But I do think Potter will make more than LOTR does. I'm looking forward to LOTR more, or course, but Potter is a close 2nd.
