Did you recalibrate when switching between players? If not, it's not a true comparison.

I have a Samsung TV, so I bought a Samsung 941. It showed better than the 950 on 3rd party tests, and it was $25 cheaper than the 850 sells at BB or CC. I bought it on eBay. I don't have it yet, but I'm anticipating its arrival. The Sony 5-disc changer will then begin duty on my Infocus 4805.

Based on this, the 941 through HDMI looks like an okay DVD player. I'll be feeding my Samsung 4663 DLP with it. They are going cheaper than the 850's for some reason. Anybody know why? The 841's are going for $50 on eBay new, but I see they are pretty bad on the benchmarks.

Is the 941 an upgrade to the Samsung 850 then? Does anyone have it? Reviews? I'd like to get one for my Samsung TV.
