From Animation Magazine: While the evening was veritable love fest, Lucas ruffled a few feathers when he confirmed his resolve not to include the non-Special Edition versions of the first three films when they are finally released on DVD. "To me, the other ones were unfinished and it always...

So I was thinking about Star Wars on DVD...

Patrick - Don't forget Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and, of course, The Last of the Mohicans (1992). Now - the real question is if this thread can be kept alive for another three years+ until we actually have an official press release of the OT on DVD. :D

You'd have to look at all versions of the script to say it was never there. I honestly have no idea if it was ever in any of the scripts or not.

So I was thinking about Star Wars on DVD...

I was born 3/15/79. However, I watched the OT countless times before I was 10 on video. I grew up on the OT, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman, The Ten Commandments, and The Wizard of Oz. I had the toys when I was a kid, I have nearly 100 of the new figures. I fulfilled my childhood dream...

Sorry if I sound rude, but this is waaaaay too personal for some people. THEY'RE JUST MOVIES! :) By the way, here's the cover art. ;)

Bill just went overboard, IMO. I mean, I love movies, and Star Wars is good fun, but to claim that it's Lucas's fault for him having a now ruined childhood is simply....well, childish. Anyway - The cleaned up effects were and always will be good additions. The plot differences are annoying...
