I receieved Moonlighting Friday; it is Anamorphic and is a decent disc. Probably the only disc we will ever see on this title. My guess is Universal no longer has rights to it. DVD Pacific has it for sale for $3.47.
I ordered Won Ton Ton on Tuesday and got it Thursday. It looks decent for a film that is over 30 years old and was taken off of whatever elements were available. The fun of watching Won Ton Ton is seeing who will pop up in each scene; it is a whose-who of past movie stars. I ordered Serial and...
Question; is the Moonlighting you have listed in your wanted Region DVD's the Jeremy Irons films? If so, it is available now in the U.S. Trinity Home Entertainment released it and it is supposed to be Anamorphic. I'm not sure how the PQ is, I actually ordered it this week from DVD Pacific for...
I believe when it was on VHS Paramount released it as Citizen's Band; It could be a music rights issue which is still holding up a DVD release of Looking For Mr. Goodbar.
I almost could see Citizen's Band as a Criterion title because of the cast and Jonathan Demme; ditto The Keep because of Michael Mann. This is all encouraging because maybe some very obscure films may come out of hiding. There are many Paramount films that have never even been on VHS and it...
Paramount has alot of titles that could be candidates for Legend; "some" of which have never seen the light of day on VHS, Shanks, T.R. Baskin, Fear is the Key, Firstborn, Such Good Friends, Skidoo, The Spirit is Willing, Project X, Tropic of Cancer, W.U.S.A., First Love, Citizen's Band, Little...
They are under "Save" when I add them. I noticed they had The Skull, Houdini, The One and Only, King of the Gypsies, Mandingo, Villa Rides, Phase IV, ZPG and Student Bodies. I've added to my Queue The Skull, Villa Rides, Phase IV, and King of the Gypsies.
The titles are now available for sale on the Legend site, but with shipping and taxes they are about $23.00 each. I may hold off until they are sold by Amazon, DVD Pacific etc. I'm curious if anyone has ordered any titles yet and recieved notification they are shipping.
I'm glad Paramount is licensing their catalog titles; between Criterion and Legend there should be a great assortment of titles coming. Hopefully Bugsy Malone, Love with the Proper Stranger, Downhill Racer, and Citizen's Band (Aka Handle With Care) are on the way also.
