Yes, I just finished watching the Longtime Companion DVD and can confirm it is quite a disappointment. It's not 16:9 enhanced and the print is indeed ordinary. Picture is soft and blemishes appear throughout.

Just a quick follow-up to note that while Bishonen is an all-region DVD and will play on American DVD players, Iron Ladies will not. I have the Apex AD-600 so I am able to play Iron Ladies on that.
