According to Engadget, notices were sent earlier this month to beta tester applicants informing them that the test units would ship to them in September. So it's definitely still an active project, but we probably won't hear anything else until September, and we won't get concrete sales details...

If they're not starting beta testing until mid-July, it doesn't bode well for seeing this device any earlier than the holiday shopping season.
