I love the senile reporter sketches. (Never saw that real one -- thanks for sharing!) JT and Gaga dancing around in those ridiculous costumes was hilarious, but I didn't like the way it revolved around picking on the "tea lady." That was kind of mean-spirited.
I missed that -- what was the joke? (I'm in the "original blows away the remake" camp on that track.) There was an interesting documentary on VH1 the other night about the '90s era of the show. No idea what it was called, but they interviewed practically every living person who was...
I'm with Patrick and Jeremiah -- that was a pretty good episode. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much at two SNL shows in a single month (this one and the Jim Carrey episode).
Even considering that some of the later sketches were on the weak side, overall that was one of the best episodes in years. I don't remember the last time I laughed so much at SNL. :)
The Miley bit is a pretty funny impression (it's a bit of a caricature), but it looks like they're going to turn it into a weekly 10-minute timekiller and it's likely to get old fast. I agree with Matt -- some of the sketches were very funny and others were just lame. That's been about as...
There's a joke to that sketch? I only saw bits and pieces. Missed Deniro in drag. The bit about the kid Fockers fan was a real drag, but Bobby Moynihan did very well with it (is it just me, or is he getting funnier as Kristen Wiig gets unfunnier?). The Kardashian sisters were excellent...
I only caught bits and pieces. "Sex Ed Vincent" was pretty good. I might've laughed once or twice during the sketch about the girl who idolizes her big brother. But mark my words: the French dancing sketch will be remembered 20 years from now as one of the absolute lowest points in the...
I caught parts of the show and basically agree that it was terrible. A shameful waste of a really funny host. The Denzel impersonation was awesome, although the sketch itself was lame (and qualifies for the "no punchline" hall of fame).
