I really enjoyed the 15 Years Later special. I thought it was a totally believable depiction of Jeannie having been married and used to living that sort of life for a while. Could definitely have used more Roger and Bellows though. And Hagman.
Nice list! I have the #1 DVDs (with Season One being the B&W), and now #6 blu/ray set.
A little off topic, but for Bewitched I have the equivalent of the #3 which actually had 2 spindles holding the discs, as there were 3 more seasons than Jeannie.
One thing I didn’t mention from my previous post is that I compared both a B&W episode as well as a color episode, and it was much harder to differentiate the B&W when comparing. But the color episodes showed more noticeable improvement.
It may be a bit before I start going through the episodes...
I’ve just did some very brief comparing of the blu ray and my old Sony DVDs, and to my amateur eyes, I think the blu rays look noticeably better. A sharper image and the colors stand out more. I thought it looked very nice. Considering it’s a tv show from the 60’s, I’m not sure what something...
My set from Best Buy.com was supposed to be delivered on its release day but got delayed. The tracking finally shows it nearby though, so hopefully it can be delivered today.
Though its a little disappointing that this isn’t the best it could have possibly looked, at the very least it’s better...
Was the Sony B&W season one NOT “decolorized” and just a normal version of the original B&W? Those Sony disc are what I currently have. My Blu-ray set was suppose to arrive today but it didn’t make it yet.
Pretty cool that the 15 Years Later thing is included. I bought the individual release of that years ago and it’s very nice. Would have been cool to have the OTHER one, called “I Still Dream of Jeannie”, so as to have a complete collection, but I wasn’t expecting either.
My copy is in the mail...
I’m not gonna say it sounds great that it was delayed again, but I am not particularly bothered either, nor by any other things similar during these times. Josh’s comments above can’t be said enough. These are different times, and I’m sure that everyone behind the scenes is doing what they can...
I’ve had this sitting on my shelf for a while but still haven’t gotten around to watching it. I’ll have to make time soon now that it’s on my mind again.
One of my favorite shows! I still have my old Sony DVDs, and have gone through them all probably 3 times. This will definitely prompt me to do a go-thru again. It’s an absolutely charming show and can’t wait to see it on Blu!
