So the app's barcode scanner works w/out any issues for you? I wanted to confirm that specifically... as various people would say the app works fine in the past, but then, later say they never use the scanner function.
Thanks for helping.
Did you have all that much trouble w/ those cases?
I...
Then it's not just me... and so far, seems that nobody on HTF has confirmed it actually works for them on a recent model iPhone that has 3 cameras/lenses -- I'm suspecting the app's barcode scanner may be having trouble w/ the 3-camera/lens config that never existed before until the iPhone 11...
FWIW, I updated to iOS 15.4.1 a while ago, but that didn't help my problem w/ the DVD Profiler app's barcode scanner at all -- it also didn't cause any new problems either...
Oh well...

Do you have an iPhone 13 Pro or Pro Max?
I didn't have a problem w/ older phones using the barcode scanner. Just w/ my iPhone 13 Pro... and the barcode scanner in My Movies Pro 3 worked fine for me...

I'm still on iOS 15.1.1, but the latest is already upto 15.4 just now -- seems like Apple's releasing updates very/too often due to significant bugs/issues... and I've been loathe to take any of them before I feel they're stable and issues-free enough...
I'm hoping whichever update I finally...
Well, now that I finally have the app (back) on my iPhone 13 Pro, I'm finding its barcode scanning doesn't work nearly as well as it used to on my (various) previous, old phones.
Seems like some kind of (extremely finicky) autofocus problem. Never had this problem before... and even a beat-up...
Ok, after contacting App Store support and trying to re-login to the family sharing linked account (on an old device) I apparently used to buy DVD Profiler (and the other app I lost), now the app is accessible again on my iPhone 13 Pro via family sharing.
Weird that family sharing apparently...
Not sure what's going on, but just noticed that DVD Profiler is back in the iOS App Store. However, seems I no longer own a license for it and is prompted to repurchase it -- it's only $3, so no big deal to repurchase, except no idea how long it'll remain valid and working before it might...

So yeah, apparently, Parallels has added some sort of Wintel...
Are those actually using the new non-Intel(-based) CPUs/architecture?
Basically, you'd be asking Windoze and/or the Windoze apps to run in emulation mode, which needs to be implemented at all for the new CPUs/architecture... and then, usually operating at least an order of magnitude slower...
Well, that's to be expected unless/until they overhaul the software... and it probably ends up taking too much effort (for too little gains) to be worth doing...

Hahaha... yeah, certainly feels that way...
I just checked again, and its dedicated Sql Server instance does seem to eventually shrink down below 500MB after a good while and stays there unless/until I try another synch...

Yeah, the PC version of MMP installed a whole bunch of (older) MS Sql Server components totaling more than 100MB plus some (much older) Visual C++ runtime stuff (even though I already had newer MS Sql Server and SDK plus Visual C++ SDK and runtimes on my PC from a prior Visual Studio install) --...
Admittedly, the MMP iOS app does seem pretty nice... but many of us really want/need reasonably fast, full-featured desktop access (and ideally, w/out having to install such heavy underlying infrastructure as MS Sql Server... although I was willing enough mostly because I'm a software dev guy...
Even without the app, you can of course still check your online web view of your collection if you don't need to add any new entries or edit anything (and just want to quickly look up something via browser).
Well, that's as long as their hosting servers are still running fine... but that's why...
Actually, not exactly. The app has disappeared from the App Store, which probably means don't count on it working indefinitely going forward... unless/until it somehow reappears in the App Store.
The app is known to sporadically flake out for whatever reason(s) (though possibly linked to iOS...
Well, yeah, My Movies just seems like a total fail.
I've been trying to import my DVD Profiler's XML exported collection (a couple dozen times over the last couple days), but it keeps failing after importing anywhere between 1700-2000 titles (out of ~2500)... that it then translates into nearly...
Sounds like they started out as a Windoze program that needed to gain marketshare support by offering the base version for free (much like DVD Profiler originally did IIRC). All the other platforms seem added later... and the current pricing model for those probably didn't translate well to...
FYI, apparently, there's currently a 1/2 price discount ($5) on the My Movies 3 Pro mobile apps that lasts only through today (or maybe tomorrow?). Just noticed that on their FB page (from a quick google).
That recent FB post also mentioned v4 of the mobile app is expected in Dec, and v3...
But it at least has some reasonable way to represent digital media, not just disc formats, right?
Does it also at least allow you to maintain your own customizable sort title names (w/out necessarily altering the main/displayed title names)?
And does it handle boxsets well? I don't...
Hmmm... does the My Movies iOS app also work well, if at all, on tvOS?
IF it works, does it support digital media well and even allow launching (iTunes) movies/shows directly from it?

Is it just me or did DVD Profiler get removed from the App Store whether just for iOS 15+ or altogether?
I can't seem to access my copy on my iPhone 13 Pro (running iOS 15.0.2) anymore -- something about not being "shared" w/ me anymore -- and can't find it in the App Store anymore. Just tried...
