The price drop ($14.95) made "Beat the Devil" a happy purchase, and I added the Peter Cushing "Sword of Sherwood Forest" (also &14.95).
I thought the Robin Hood film would come down to $9.95, but the ungodly high single disc shipping cost made me go ahead and get it.
Like others, probably my...
I really like Twilight Time packaging & shipping. The sale item Blu-ray "The Pirates of Blood River" came today in a nice box that I'll likely use to hold several Blu-rays!
Also, it was shipped less than 24 hours after my order and made it to my house 3 days earlier than the estimate.
I was happy to pick up "Our Man in Havana" during the Twilight Time sale.
Never seen it before and I really liked it.
It does take (at least, for me) a second viewing to really understand all that is going on,
and likely that is why it's not reviewd as well as some Carol Reed or Alec Guinness...
I ordered 2 of the sale discs directly from Twilight time on Monday morning and I received them today. Feel like I hit the jackpot.
I've always ordered from Screen Archives site in the past.
I share (with you) the irrational fear that "The Mad Magician" plus "Spooks" & "Pardon My Backfire" could sell out, and I also want it in my hands as soon as possible --
Perhaps I'm as mad as the character Vincent Price portrays, or maybe I'm just as nutty as 3 certain people in the short films.
My dream wish of Golden Age 3D from Sony is coming true with
The Mad Magician and The Three Stooges shorts,
but
I would buy the two theoretical sets proposed (above) —
William Castle as a 3 movie 3D Blu-ray set should appeal to most
fans of classic 3D
and
fans of Castle's horror gimmick films.
I would have purchased all three of the above, but Man in the Dark held no interest for me,
and I have House of Wax, Dial M for Murder, Creature from the Black Lagoon, 3D Rarities, The Mask, Kiss Me Kate, The Bubble, Gog, and I'm hungry for more.
