I second that. Great, controversial (in its time) movie. Much of it historically inaccurate and, ofcourse, various liberties taken in name of artistic license... Still, a great story with great performances throughout... BUY IT.

I'm 38 (til next month, anyway) and mostly collect catalog stuff, as well. I've long had a fascination for mid-20th century (especially mid-60s and 70s) culture - U.S. as well as international - movies and music.
Not that I think there's nothing good to be had amongst Hollywood's 21st century...
SINCE IT appears the other label I asked (KinoLorber) doesn't have it, was wondering what the chances are TT will get "THE QUIET AMERICAN" - either the 1958 version starring Michael Redgrave + Audie Murphy OR the 2002 version with Michael Caine + Brendan Fraser? I believe the existing DVDs...
