I find it more than sad that we lost Nick. This man was truly dedicated to his work, and really deserved an award of some kind for Twilight Time. I am so sad that we will probably not have any more titles from the company now. How many great films were released. My favorites were Oliver, Lost...
I would love to see Murder by Death, one of my favorite comedies, released on blu-ray
A question to either Twilight Time or everyone here: When do you think Twilight Time might, if at all, delve into 4k? We know there are some 4k transfers now for some of these films, though I assume most have...
I do see that now, but remaining on the list are a heck of a lot of great movies that would shine in HD and I am really hoping someone makes a deal with the studio. The two I want the most are Flower Drum Song and Thoroughly Modern Millie, but I would buy any on my list.
I really wish Twilight Time would investigate a contract with Universal. They obviously have no plans to do anything with their catalog titles on disc, and there are so many great films in their library. I'd love to own
Thoroughly Modern Millie,
Sweet Charity,
Shenendoah,
Written on the Wind...
Is there any chance on any 4k releases from TT? I've read that a few of the titles you have released have new 4k masters. I suppose it would be too early to make an immediate profit on those. I am waiting for the first 4k titles to some pre-1960 films (other than Kwai).
Nick, I wanted to chime in and tell you that you are in my prayers and I wish you a fast recovery and the best with the upcoming medical trials. I was myself involved in 2 different new therapies in trial, and one of which saved my life, so I am here to say that it is very possible to have...
It's a shame that "Star!" and "Doctor Dolittle" are not yet released, two huge productions in Todd-AO and 6 track stereo remain unreleased. I read that Fox would not lease these 2 films to Twilight Time, and that seems very silly considering they won't release them themselves. With the...
I totally agree with you about putting it in MGM's hands, but I am unfamiliar with the ALAMO story, I know people were trying to get it restored, but nothing about a collector and his copy.
I just received How to Succeed in Business and WOW, we have been plagued by a mono soundtrack from this for years, and after just trying it out on my computer blu-ray player, it sounds like it is true stereo sound. I will have to try the headphones to see if there is really true stereo...
I have a question for Twilight Time....I see that you list a 5.1 soundtrack for How to Succeed in Business, can you elaborate on that? The film has been in mono on laserdisc and DVD and all cable TV showings, have you found a stereo version? Is it remixed from music tracks? Thank you.
