I echo the interest in a 3-D release of Gorilla At Large. I don't know if Fox have plans to create a 3-D GAL master, or if you have influence with them on this, but I trust you will explore all options towards making this a reality.
I'm currently awaiting my copy of Gun Fury, as well as a number of other titles that I added to my order (which has shipped).
I see a number of people have noticed an audio sync issue approximately 45 minutes into the movie. Has this been looked into to determine whether it's worth addressing...
So glad I got these when I did.
for what it's worth, I think the best 3-D movie TT have put out is Miss Sadie Thompson. It went from being a movie I had no real interest in, to my personal favourite from 3-D's Golden Age.
I second that request. I encourage Fox to remaster this fun 3-D title.
When they get this one digitised, Fox's contribution to 3-D's golden age will be complete and accessible to modern audiences.
On that subject, my question to TT is have 3-D masters been created yet for Gorilla At Large or any of the remaining Columbia 3-D titles(other than Gun Fury)?
I've been looking out for that one, but it seems to have been delayed over here and I'm not sure when or if it'll be released locally. The local Imax screen is tied up for the immediate future. I'm still hoping to see it in high-framerate 3-D if possible.
In case there was any doubt in the matter, I'll have to join with the chorus here. If these movies were released as suggested, it'd be like a dream come true. I'd be thrilled to support releases such as these. I'd buy the lot. Day one.
Twilight Time are much appreciated for getting...
Miss Sadie Thompson was a blind-buy for me, and it really isn't typically the sort of movie I'd go for, so I was somewhat wary that I might not like it. To my surprise I found it to be among the top tier of vintage 3-D movies, and it's now my personal favourite of those on 3D-Bluray. It moves...
From what I recall of the Three Stooges Shorts, they were just wall to wall with 3-D pop-out effects, and from what I've seen, Mad Magician does not hold back in that regard either. It should be a real showcase release for 3-D. I could definitely see it warranting a new entry in the top 30 3D...
Thanks for the reassurance. I'm not in the loop on these things.
I can match that. I've bought them all so far, and will continue to do so. There's some I'm particularly interested in, and others that'd be much lower priority, but there's not a single one I wouldn't love to have on 3D Blu-ray.
several of us expressed interest in Gorilla at Large on 3D Blu-ray in the thread for Fox representative James Finn, and while the title was listed for blu-ray release, the 3D issue wasn't addressed.
Did they confirm it elsewhere? Without having specific information about it, the concern is...
Wherever possible, I love to see films packaged with the short subjects and cartoons that accompanied their original release.
I'm sure there's reasons, but it doesn't happen as often as I'd like.
Glad to hear it, can't wait. I hope these are successful releases for you. Looking beyond those titles, would Sony be open to mastering more of their 3-D catalog?
If they can be at all nudged or persuaded in that direction, they'll have my full support.
I encourage Sony to complete mastering their catalog 3-D titles. At least they've done a few of their 1950s movies. As far as I'm aware, Spacehunter is their only 80s 3-D title.
Two titles that would definitely be worth considering for blu-ray release.
Especially Sadie, after the sensational 3-D trailer on the recent 3-D Rareties disc.
Can't go far wrong with a Vincent Price flick either.
not quite where my interest lies, but always good to see 3-D released in 3-D and I hope it's a strong seller. Bear in mind that titles already available in overseas markets may not sell as well as newly available titles, as I'm sure you're aware.
Can't wait for the announcement! There are many vintage 1950s titles I'd love to see become available, and a few 80s as well. Hope more will be forthcoming from yourselves. The situation has improved in recent years, but vintage 3-D remains a rare and sought after commodity.
For titles that...
