Yeah, I didn't think it was hostile. Certainly not very.
And mine was delivered by FedEx. Sometimes it is UPS and sometimes it is USPS. I very rarely see FedEx anymore from Amazon. I figured this one was because of the Saturday delivery.
Yeah, that is baloney. I just looked at my email invoice and it says two-day shipping with an estimated delivery on the 18th. It was ordered on and shipped on the 16th.
It probably wouldn't be an issue with Amazon. They make returns really easy especially if it is their error and I think Mike could make a strong case for it considering others got theirs just fine and the csr seems to have given him some misinformation.
Mike, I'm not rubbing it in, but mine arrived today. I ordered it on Thursday morning (I think) and it listed the estimated delivery as today. It mentioned something about it being release day, but I didn't have to make any special selection. I'm also a Prime member.
Look what I have in my grubby little hands:
Pat, I did look to see if they had any other copies, but they didn't. Since stores seem to be getting in additional copies though, you should be able to pick one up with a little persistence.
Point taken Jason. I was thinking of picking up The Hunger Games locally too, but this whole experience has annoyed me so I place an Amazon order instead.
Now on the product page for Jaws it says I can order today and pickup tomorrow at two of the stores near me. Of course, the shopping cart won't let me place the order though because it isn't in stock today. Best Buy really needs to get their act together.
Oh, one other note. I tried their...
David, it's funny you mentioned Total Recall as an example. I still haven't been able to find that one and I've looked for it several times at two different Best Buy stores. Not sure why I bother. Well, hopefully they will get more copies of the digibook Jaws in stock.
Ever? Really Best Buy!? Well that sucks. I was wondering if I should wait for them to get more in stock. I guess not,
I really want to see this disc and I went to Target tonight, but they were out too. This is why I order most of my discs from Amazon.
Unfortunately, I was working in the morning and couldn't get by a store. I tried to order it online for pickup (something you can't do even the night before which is kind of stupid) around 9:30 am and the three stores closest to me said it was unavailable. While trying to decide whether to drive...
Is the only difference between the two versions of Jaws at Best Buy the digibook packaging? I'm a big fan of the book style, but I'm not sure I can really justify $7 more for it. Planning on picking up The Hunger Games and Jaws this week.
