It seems that you're still entitled to the -10% at Amazon for this title. Furthermore: if the BD version doesn't have a TrueHD track (or any lossless equivalent) than the HD DVD is worth $4 more (or so) by itself. So perhaps the fact that it's a combo doesn't make it more expensive after all...

I would accept it, if it didn't infuence the price. (One problem here is, of course, we don't know exactly he price of this release without the SD DVD side. Part of the higher amount could simply be the market mechanism of selling a very recent and wanted movie). BTW, I think the studios...

Ha, ha, yes! I use DVD Planet for a considerable time already (formerly Digital Eyes). I ordered it just over two weeks ago! Currently, the have some problems listing all HD DVD releases and in time (just like Amazon has), but apart from that specific problem, they are consistently good...

Marek, I already (pre-)ordered Superman, The Movie and Superman II on HD DVD. :) But Superman Returns was on several websites too for some time (I already "ordered" that one as well) but has suddenly disappeared now. Cees

Paul, My link goes to Superman II indeed, but the search was for Superman Returns, as can be seen at the top. That's weird, because the same search doesn't find Superman, The Movie, so the result is NOT based on just 1 word. Superman Returns, however, is nowhere to be seen. Cees

It is still found on DVD Empire when you "search" for it. But below it, it says Superman II. Perhaps there has been a confusion all along? Cees

I ordered it from DVDPlanet on Oct 5th (price: $27.96, pricey!). It was on my pre-order list for several days (as well as on an e-mail confirmation) and must have "disappeared" between the 15th and 17th. I'll try to find out what happened (and I don't like not being informed). Cees
