I felt the show this year was less about pageantry than it has been in the past. Does no one remember a singing Rob Lowe dancing with Snow White? Thank the Lord they cut those god-awful dance numbers.

Ugh! Well, let's put it this way. I own "Dances With Wolves" (and watch it at least 2-3 times a year)but I don't own "Goodfellas." So, to me, the best picture won that year. It's all subjective in the end.

I love the fact that the show lasted just over three hours, shortest show in memory. I thought Fox's speech was very heartfelt and I was estatic that Morgan Freeman finally got an award.
