The creepiest thing about the aliens is the fact that they don't have eyes. The main reason the Newborn was such a failure is that it had eyes, which robbed the alien of it's most frightening attribute and made it laughable.

I just hope that "Aliens" isn't the only film to have different cuts available via seamless branching. If anything is done to change them, the original versions should hopefully remain available with branching.

They can do whatever they want with any movie as long as they leave the original on there via seamless branching, as far as I'm concerned.

I think the common opinion is that Sam Raimi asked that the short film not be included, although nobody but those involved know for sure.

That list of specs definitely looks more like someone's wishlist than an official spec list. If it pans out, I won't be complaining (although I do hope that the theatrical cut of "Alien3" would be made available via branching if a longer cut is included) but it really doesn't look very credible.

I imagine the price of this box set will be based on the number of movies (4) rather than the number of discs (9). Past Fox releases like the "Ultimate Die Hard Collection" support this pricing method. I see a price comparable to any other 4 disc set, or possibly comparable to another 5 disc...

I just hope that original theatrical cuts of "Aliens" and "Alien3" are included in addition to the director's cuts. I'm sure that the director's cut of "Aliens" will definitely be included but I'm still doubtful on a director's cut of "Alien3" considering how thoroughly disinterested David...
