WAY better than nothing! Thanks for taking the time to corral all those!
We have become spoiled, a bit. I remember a friend going bananas because he found a VHS with copies of a few B&W "Dark Shadows" episodes (MPI hadn't released them, yet). They turned out to be camcorder recordings from...
Not addressed yet is/was the status of "The Courtship of Eddie's Father." The first season was never available on pressed discs. I was able to purchase pressed sets for seasons 2 & 3 from the WB Shop when the sets were first released. I have no idea if ANY retailer still offers them pressed at...
My collection is larger than most, smaller than some. I have DVDs and books in almost every room of my house. Some rooms have a fair share of CDs & vinyl, as well. Whatever one wishes to accumulate, keep or discard for our brief go 'round on this mortal coil, I say have at it. We are all here...
I know my set (ordered from the seller two laughing dogs via Amazon U.S.) is region free. It's also getting to be quite the bargain; I paid almost $35 and it's now (11/17/19) $28.01. I would be astonished to see this issued anywhere else on physical media.
The 16 episodes of Mayberry RFD include 7 from the first season and 9 from seasons 2 and 3. The listing promotes the season 2 & 3 episodes states previously unreleased on DVD. Here is the episode listing:
Disc 1
Mayberry R.F.D.
Season 1 (1968-69)
Andy and Helen Get Married
Original Air...
Nice looking, though older prints. Some have a slight, very slight reddish/pink tint. A few episodes have only German language-written credits, but the dialogue tracks are all available in English. The episodes on the first three discs appear complete and unedited, I haven't timed the others...
Just by the fact that almost every other region 2 German DVD set I purchased ("The Bad News Bears" TV series and "Here's Boomer") have found a subsequent region 1 release, I would say that the odds are good since I purchased "Tammy" as well.
If it does, keep your eyes peeled for "Mister...
Not mentioned yet is the Diamond Anniversary blitz. We all expected much more than was delivered. I didn't see any of the repackaged H-B titles flying off Target or Walmart shelves and maybe the digital releases did/are doing poorly, as well.
I am truly thankful for all that has been released...
Got super lucky at a secondhand store and scored:
Family - The Complete First & Second Seasons
For Better Or For Worse (animated) - Vols. 1 & 2
Are You Being Served Again
Rich Man, Poor Man Complete Collection
Agreed! I have purchased most Hanna-Barbera sets from the WB Shop in hopes of getting pressed discs. It works at least 90% of the time, thus justifying the cost.
That being said, I ordered both seasons of David Janssen's detective series "Harry O" from Amazon years after they were issued and...
I guess I waited too long. This isn't currently available direct or via Amazon. I e-mailed the Rifleman website but have not received a response. I hope it becomes available again.
By any chance, did you ever get a response? I, too, have been buying the half-season sets. I'd be glad to pick up the final season as a complete set, but I hate to have to double dip on half of season 4.
As a lifelong Detroiter, I am intrigued by what your WXYZ post-Thanksgiving daytime prpgramming recreation consists of. I recall a batch of Saturday morning shows. I remember around the holidays Rita Bell would feature either "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear" or "The Man Called Flintstone" on her...
The recent Shout Factory summer sake allowed me to complete Adam-12 (seasons 2 & 3). Also picked up Arrest & Trial, 87th Precinct, The Defenders (season 1) and Bearcats. Amazon reviews also alerted me to the Bearcats pilot TV movie on a cheap 20 movie westerns set.
I have had pretty decent experiences; a couple of times even getting actually new discs! As Ron said, sometimes used discs present the only fiscally sound option for my sometimes extremely limited budget.

Amazon.de lists this 1964-1965 Dennis Weaver comedy drama. I've never heard of it. The product listing says the episodes are available in English, but a YouTube promotional video lists the language as German with the...
Always appreciate the info sharing here. Didn't want to start another thread, but does anyone know if the new "Where's Huddles" set is pressed?
Any info/help is appreciated!
I translated the reviews and, from what they stated, I think the set is legit (German and English audio options as well as optional German subtitles), but two mention visual quality issues. Maybe, much like the recent Paramount "The Brady Kids" domestic release, producers used whatever was...
The San Pedro Beach Bums
Hot L Baltimore
Best of the West
are the first three that come to mind. If Saturday morning shows count, add on The Kids From C.A.P.E.R.
This just struck me, but maybe the idea should be to start at the end (the final season in color) and work his way back.
I've only ever seen one color episode and, though most series have petered out by their final season, O&H's quality held pretty true (I think it helped by having the...
