To pair with fs52's and c22, I would stick with the pioneer but the girlfriend says their to big to hang from the ceiling, what brands should I be looking at for budget friendly small rear speakers?
Receiver: denon 1712
Fronts : pioneer fs52's
Center: pionee cs22
When watching tv if the channel has hd audio the front speakers do all the background sound and the center does the vocals, is this right? I'm new to this and I assumed they all played the words not just the center. Should the...
Or is there another sub I should be looking at? Purchasing today. Going to be paired up with my denon 1712 pioneer fs52's and cs22. Used for games, movies,tv, never really listen to music in the living room.
I have a denon 1712 on the way, and have pioneer fs52's and c22. Where's the best place to buy my wiring? Certain gauge style most prefer? I've never hooked up a home theatre so not sure if I need any kind of special connections lol. Any help is much appreciated!
receiver is a denon 1712, would cost $100 more for the polk setup. I heard fs52's vs the polk 60's off the crappy best buy setup and the polkds deffinitely got louder but werent as crisp as the fs52's. Does the sound qulity improve from the 60 to the 70 on the monitor series? Also i'd assume my...
budget would still be the same, I like the idea of used gear for bang for the buck I just never know what gear to inquire on as I'm not up on the brands/models just yet :).
in the end I'd like it to be a 5.1 but as I said given my $800 starting budget and needing a receiver I'm not against starting with a 2.0 or 2.1 and working my way up as more funds apply. I'd like towers for sure I like the look much better and will fit my setup better as well.
David,
Thanks a ton for the replies and help! The recommendation I've been getting from lots of others is in my budget it'd be best to start with a 2.0 system because of my need for a receiver then add a sub later when funds permit, then center. Start off with a good receiver, two nice towers...
David, if i ended up wanting a say 3.1 system ( that's minus the surrounds correct?) Would your reccomendations still be the same? I've been kicking around the idea of changing it to starting with a 2.1 or 3.1 ( with the same starting budget of course) and working my way up to a 5.1. i figure...
I'll be piecing this system together so all purchases won't happen at once..( cant afford it currently)
If you had $700 cash right now and wanted to start into a home theatre ( i'd like to get nice stuff now instead of cheap and have to upgrade everything again next time around) I currently have...
Yea i'm flexible on the budget, i dont want to skimp out of $75 or 100 if i can end up with a much nicer system. Also dont want to end up in a month saying damnit i want to upgrade lol! Not dead set on the pioneers but everythnig i've read has given them the edge of the monitor 50's... your...
For the front I noticed you reccomended the monitor 50's, from what I've been reading would the pioneer fs52's be a better choice for a little more??
Also anybody else care to chime in, maybe could up the budget to under 800 if it'd mean steeping the equipment up a notch!
So me and my GF have been talking about getting a surround sound system for the last few weeks, yesterday she decdided to "suprise" me and get a Cinemate II from Best buy... Yaaay....
