    Buying and selling UV codes

UV tried to crack down on buying/selling of UV codes on e-Bay several months after UV started. They said "unbundling" them (meaning selling UV codes without the blu-ray and/or dvd) violated their license/TOS. I guess they gave up though.

Ultraviolet: What do you like and not like about it?

Yeah, the free movies were very hit or miss. Hopefully they add way to delete them soon. And for the merging, who said it can't be for both? Before UV added merging, UV always had concept of sharing. Each master UV account can have up to 5 subaccount users. And all movies added by any of these...

Ultraviolet: What do you like and not like about it?

Yeah, you can merge UV accounts (as of the summer or so). So people can merge their UV account with another existing UV account, and become a sub-user on the merged account. And every user on the merged account can see each other movies. However, there is no way to split your movies back out if...

New Physical format for UV? muvichip: movies anytime, anywhere, on any device

Looking at the intro video on their site, they're trying to market to people who want the benefits of a portable digital file, but who don't have the network speed/bandwidth to support a lot of streaming or downloading for their movie collection. The video also mentions people not watching to...

Barnes & Noble Launches Video Service

Maybe. Then that'll definitely be next year since CFF won't be available to consumers until at least February or March of 2013.

Barnes & Noble Launches Video Service

I don't even know anymore. Back in January, it seemed Amazon would be first digital retailer to launch UV support (even if it was just "trial support for one studio"). But Vudu launched support first in April. Since then I think I heard DECE/UV mention Amazon UV maybe once and no real news...

Barnes & Noble Launches Video Service

Saw this earlier. I am a Nook user (but I don't have one of their tablets), so I hope this helps B&N hold on to their share of the ereader market. It'll be nice to finally have more UV retailers than Vudu out soon. They'll also beat Amazon to the punch with UV support even though Amazon joined...

Fox to sell UltraViolet Digital HD movies three weeks ahead of discs or VOD, Prometheus is first

Early UV codes from WB and Universal were all UV SD codes. At some point a while ago they changed their minds and switched to HD codes in Blu-Rays.

Vudo (and Ultraviolet) Comes to Roku!

It's about time. I even hooked my old Roku back up to my TV in my room to try it, only to find out it doesn't work with my first-gen Roku XD.

Fox to sell UltraViolet Digital HD movies three weeks ahead of discs or VOD, Prometheus is first

Ah. That's the download quality for the film. I thought it still said 1080p below that for streaming quality.

Fox to sell UltraViolet Digital HD movies three weeks ahead of discs or VOD, Prometheus is first

Which site were you looking at? Vudu and iTunes are both offering 1080p for Prometheus. I didn't check but Xbox and Sony PSN/VU should too. If you were looking at Amazon Instant Video, Amazon only supports 720p.
