Thank you all for your prompt, detailed and well-informed advice! I'm lucky in that I don't have to decide whether or not to wait for the new Air. We have to replace the laptop before year-end. Thank you all again!
Hi All, I'm far from a computer expert, and would like some advice. We need to replace my wife's 10+ year-old MacBook. Budget is an issue, but want to get a MacBook that can handle the PhotoShop suite. What's more important: a faster chip or more RAM? Processor? The Pro is out of our price...
I saw this yesterday with my teenage sons. We all went in with lowered expectations, having heard some of the negative opinions about it. We all really enjoyed it!
Nearly every time I see the (real) poster for this movie, for a second I think I'm looking at David Byrne of Talking Heads. SNL, if Cillian Murphy hosts this fall, I'm getting my request in early for a "Stop Making Sense" skit of some kind. I know for a fact that The Big Suit is clean and ready!
I'd like to see Universal take the elements of the 1925 Lon Chaney "Phantom of the Opera" that they were supposedly gathering, and release that. Including the relatively recently-discovered Technicolor version of the ballet sequence.
This is wonderful! Has anyone heard if this might be including on an upcoming release of The Phantom? I realize the Kino and FFI releases aren't that old, but I have not yet purchased either, and would hate to do so if this footage were to be in included in a later release.

I bailed on this episode about halfway through. It was so dark (I know, they're in a tomb) that I couldn't tell what was going on. I've found the whole series just so-so. That said, after reading the last few posts I may have to go back and finish it, to see if that changes my opinion.
The same hardware review, sitting on the HTF homepage for nearly year, proclaiming that not only do I know who SVS is (I don't), but that "everybody" does (unlikely).
I've tried setting up a router as a wireless access point (connected via a long ethernet cable) to my Verizon wireless router, so I could have better wifi on the second floor of my house. I bought a Netgear R6230 but for the life of me I can't get it to work as an access point (with the same...
I saw a crazily entertaining clip of a movie online several years ago, but can't remember the title and now can't find it. It was a foreign rip-off of Marvel superhero groups, I remember seeing knock-offs of The Hulk and several others (maybe including X-Men). The bogus superheroes were fighting...
