Streaming video from PC to AVR

OK, I found this recently. Not sure why I didnt think of it before. The LG BD630 Blu-ray player will play most video files thru a USB port. All the reviews rave about it. Ordered a new one from 1saleaday.com for 70$ (not refurb).

hdmi 1.4 splitter or hdmi 1.4 switcher

Instead of a splitter, try a switcher. 2 inputs one output. The switch will automatically pick which one or you can tell it by remote. I have used these, but the signal keeps dropping, so I gave up. It will drop for a few seconds than come back. Good luck.

None of their receivers support that function. My 605 just acts like a second monitor, with 5.1 audio too!

Streaming video from PC to AVR

Hi, I have an Onkyo TX-SR605 which I love. I am thinking of upgrading. What I need a receiver to do is have at least 4 or more HDMI inputs, and output all inputs to a single HDMI. I believe that is up-scaling? My current receiver does this. The component out jacks on my current receiver have...
