I've not seen much of "Angie" but what I have seen is sweet and the show seems up my alley. Will be on the shelf next to "Mary Hartman" for obvious reasons.
Amazon has a product page in place for the Complete Series but no pre-order as yet...

But Amanda wasn't initially played as a sourpuss. She was a very sweet young woman. I enjoyed and appreciated that Karen gave us that quality back in her portrayal of Amanda.
They had NO IDEA whatsover to do with Amanda once she divorced the prince. I think the better option would have been to kill Amanda off in the La Mirage fire. Karen Cellini did a lovely job with the character, she just needed more time to find her feet and perhaps some good scripts to act.
I hope that the box art doesn't change much from this - it looks fabulous. And last week I was within a heartbeat of buying all the split-season sets from Seasons 6-9 (because the UK sets that I have are from lower quality sources)... now I will wait and get the entire box.
Again, it sounds like most of the playback issues reported in this thread were from discs made before Warner moved to their pressing plants in Mexico. Quality and long-term durability of their discs has improved 100% since they moved their operations there.
If they did, I'd be happy to see a Complete box set. The transfers for seasons 6-9 on the UK sets came from analogue sources and don't look pretty at all.
Probably a hold-over from when that disc was originally sold separately (as a flipper). When those old flipper disc releases are re-packaged in boxsets, they don't re-do the menus.
The difference here is that the new movie doesn't have ANY of the songs from the Broadway musical version, so in essence it's a remake of the original animated film, as well as a re-vision of the stage musical. Talk about confusing.
That Joan Crawford set went OOP a while ago. WAC just reissued all those titles as MODs, so your best solution for "Sadie McKee" is to buy it again separately.
I'm not sure if ImportCDs manufacture their own copies onsite like Amazon does. I'm just reporting what happened to me last year - 3 discs (plus the Jean Harlow Collection) that I ordered were all defective.
They are cheaper from ImportCDs, but be careful and make sure they play when you first get them. I had a dreadful run of defective WAC discs a year or so ago, and they were all from ImportCDs.
I used to enjoy dropping in on the boards to see what was being discussed, debated, etc. Now I'll only ever visit IMDB when I need to double-check a birthday, release date, etc.
That I think was the main reason why Pamela Sue wanted out of the show. They turned Fallon into a boring, conventional working mother. It was too much of a change from her regular character.
Other outlets like JB HiFi are yet to offer their pre-orders, but here is the product page on Shock's own website.

That makes sense to me, jcroy. I've had a few discs from the Canadian plant over the years (none of those have/had any issues), but I routinely had problems with Warner discs from the Olyphant plant.
