Waited for years for this to reappear on TCM. A terrible pan and scan was on a premium movie station a while back. The print was acceptable and I transferred it onto dvd-r. I can imagine what a restoration would look like but until that becomes a project or even just remastered for Blu ray...

Hi Matt, So many beautiful movie themes that year but GLOS certainly is one that is forgotten. The Brothers Four did a beautiful rendition of it and I was able to find it on karaoke to record with my less than stellar singing voice myself.

Hi, Know they hold the competition each year for those new scores. Lots of times TCM also airs silents released in Europe on DVD (region 2) that are not available in the U.S.

Was finally able to get "Safe In Hell" at a good discount price (5/50) which is the one I really wanted. With the five I was also able to add "The Bad Seed" which WB sells for just $4.95. As a silent film buff, wish more of the pre-talkies would be released - have every single title already...

Unfortunately, "Safe In Hell" wasn't one of the over 900 titles that was part of the buy 2/get 1 free sale this past week.
