    3D Blu-ray Review Gun Fury 3D Blu-ray Review

It's directed at me, I know. But this isn't about me. It's about HTF. Are you going to get mad at people like me who offer you the truth about something, or are you going to get mad when shills infiltrate your boards and offer alternative "theories" about particular products? Do a little digging...

    3D Blu-ray Review Gun Fury 3D Blu-ray Review

Your claim, forgive my language, is bogus. You don't happen to be connected to anybody with Twilight Time by chance? Because it sure sounds like it. I wouldn't be surprised one bit. Because this is clearly NOT a player issue. I've tried it on multiple devices and still the same thing. But hey...

3D Creature from the Black Lagoon 3D (1954)

Strike everything I just said. I misunderstood what you guys were talking about. But the film DOES look great in 3D, eye strain or no eye strain.

3D Creature from the Black Lagoon 3D (1954)

The WHOLE THING, as far as I'm concerned, is wonderful. I've watched it twice already and the whole thing to me presented no alignment issues. It all seems crystal clear.

3D Creature from the Black Lagoon 3D (1954)

Wow ... I can't believe what I'm reading here. I've not noticed any of these alignment issues that you're talking about here. As far as I can tell, the movie looks awesome on my 106-screen via my Epson 3D 1080p projector.

Looney Tunes Censored 11 comes to Warner Archive in 2011!

No I wasn't saying that. I was being facetious. Jerry Beck is usually right about things. Sorry! You're wrong about that.

Looking forward to your reviews, Matt.

Looney Tunes Censored 11 comes to Warner Archive in 2011!

Yeah, another lesson learned - do not believe Jerry Beck.

Looney Tunes Censored 11 comes to Warner Archive in 2011!

Well, we're as deep as you could get into 2011 and there's been not a peep about the Censored 11 on DVD or Blu-ray. I guess WB changed its mind.

3 Hitchcock movies at the end of January (Notorious, Rebecca and Spellbound)

I really don't know. That's what I read recently. From what I gathered, it sounded like it would be easier for WB to redo the films in 3D with the newer processes in use rather than use the original 3D versions shown in theaters.

3 Hitchcock movies at the end of January (Notorious, Rebecca and Spellbound)

I have a HD version of "Dial M for Murder" saved on my DVR that was recorded from HDNet Movies. The picture does look strong. I read that a 3D Blu-ray for it, as well as House of Wax, would likely be accomplished by converting them into Real3D rather than using the original polarized theatrical...

3 Hitchcock movies at the end of January (Notorious, Rebecca and Spellbound)

I don't know about that. The Hitchcock box set released a few years back included "Lifeboat." And the three titles coming out in January are MGM/Fox releases. On Amazon, the pre-order page for "Spellbound" on Blu-ray indicates its a Fox/MGM release.

    3D Universal 3-D

Those posters are awesome. It would be great if Universal released some of these titles in 2012. I'd love to own the two "Creature" 3D flicks and "It Came from Outer Space" on 3D blu-rays.

3 Hitchcock movies at the end of January (Notorious, Rebecca and Spellbound)

This is really good news. Three more Hitchcock classics to add to the arsenal. Hopefully MGM also releases "Lifeboat" on Blu-ray soon, as well. Any news on what Universal has up its sleeve with its Hitchcock titles? "The Birds" has been been available for pre-purchase for more than a year but no...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Fantasia -- in Blu-ray

I must report that I changed my mind about the Deems Taylor dubs: It was the right thing to do. It was accomplished pretty much flawlessly, and truly the only way to re-create the roadshow version was to have somebody else fill in for all the dialogue. The overall Blu-ray presentation of the...

    A Few Words About A few words about...™ Fantasia -- in Blu-ray

I can't agree with your comment, "The decision was made in order that the viewing audience, many of whom would be seeing FANTASIA for the first time, wouldn't be drawn out of the film by audible and awkward edits during the narration." I've seen voice edits to other classic films that have...

The Fugitive: Season Four, Volume 1

My only complaint when Season 1 came out was that there was no subtitle option. I rather subtitles over closed captions because you can't watch a DVD in progressive scanned format and view closed captions at the same time.

HTF Contest: Win an Epson HC 8700 1080P projector courtesy of Epson and ProjectorPeople.com!

When I was a child back in the 1970s and early 1980s, WOR 9 from New York - which we received via our cable company in northeastern Pennsylvania - always showed the original "King Kong," along with its sequel, "Son of Kong," as well as 1949's "Mighty Joe Young," on Thanksgiving Day. I would...

The Fugitive: Season Four, Volume 1

I think Harry's explanation makes the most sense. The episode on the disc - sans minor music substitutions - probably represents the dialogue that was used when it originally premiered.

The Fugitive: Season Four, Volume 1

Maybe this is CBS' way of getting back at all the people who complained about the music changes? "They don't like Mark Heyes, eh? Well, we'll take his music out for 'em, but screw with their heads by screwing up other parts of the series by making 'other' changes that make no sense whatsover...

The Fugitive: Season Four, Volume 1

That certainly is good news. Maybe CBS is finished letting fans hang out to dry? I still wish the previous four sets get released again someday but with all the original cues.

WHV Press Release: The Exorcist Extended Director's Cut (Blu-ray)

Yeah, inspector, I noticed that at Walmart, too, but stayed away from it when I realized it was only one disc. Funny thing is, I would have bought it if it had been the book set.

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: Psycho (1960) - Highly Recommended

I remember when I bought the set I made sure it could show movies at 24fps ... however, I don't know if it converts them with 3:2 pulldown. If it is converting them with 3:2 pulldown, then that would explain it. I'll have to look into that, but I'm guessing you're probably right that the TV is...

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: Psycho (1960) - Highly Recommended

I'm using a PS3 as well, and watching it on a 52-inch Sony Bravia, with a Sony 5.1 surround system. If the audio sync is fine on yours, perhaps my disc is at fault? The hi-def content on the disc, however, is in sync. On the standard def stuff, the action is slightly ahead of the sound, and this...

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: Psycho (1960) - Highly Recommended

The Fugitive: Season Four, Volume 1

The moment of truth is near. What will we get this time? A set comparable to the two Season One sets, or another hearty dose of Mark Heyes keyboards? I can't wait to read the early reviews.

A Few Words About A few words about...™ King Kong -- in Blu-ray

Yeah, the story is very vague. Is it the whole movie? Why would Universal allow the theater to run it considering how old the film is? Wouldn't they want it in their possession as soon as humanly possible to examine the condition and determine if it is in better shape than what they have in the...
