    Here's a puzzle for you. :-)

For video, the pictured Infocus IN72 has one composite, 1 set of component, and 1 s-video. The other connections are for HD signals which I dont have, other than the xbox, but it only has component video coming out. I dont have any analog channels from the Dish, but there is currently an rf...

    Here's a puzzle for you. :-)

Thanks Drobbins. What I was hoping to do was to split out my optical audio from the Dish to the Onkyo and to the Xbox, and split out the s-video from the Dish to the projector and the tv. But, I dont think I should do that. What you said makes since. This way I would have a dedicated connection...

    Here's a puzzle for you. :-)

If the highly knowledgable folks here can help me with my puzzle, I think you would answer 90% of my A/V home theatre questions. Goal: To run xbox360 and Dish unit (standard def) through my projector (while still having the TV also connected to the Dish) and obtain the best sound and video...

    Using splitters and quality.......

I think I answered my own question on this one. It looks like it will cost alot to be able to split Toslink and s-video effectively. :frowning:

Connecting Dish reciever to Projector AND a TV.

Yeah, I'm working on a setup where I can move the projector a little bit closer to the screen for viewing SD images, on those rare occassions (get the image down to about 60"). My MAX image size will be about 80 inches for DVD and Xbox. I'll be relying somewhat on the processing power of the...

Connecting Dish reciever to Projector AND a TV.

Thanks Robert. Remember...I'm pretty new to this stuff. ;) What is considered an RF video output? So, it sounds like option 3 would be the winner for me, since I will not regularly be watching television through my projector. I dont have anything HD yet. At least not until I can get HD...

    Using splitters and quality.......

....another thread I started reminded me to ask about using splitters and what effect it has on image and sound quality. I have a situation in which I may have to use an s-video splitter and a Toslink splitter. Is this a bad idea? Todd

Connecting Dish reciever to Projector AND a TV.

Hi all. I have one s-video connection on the back of my Dish 625 receiver. But, I want to run s-video from the Dish to a projector, just for occasional tv viewing, and I want to also run s-video from the Dish up to my TV. Which option should I go with below. Keep in mind that the only video...
