This looks really good. I have 6 L820s and and LC2 and the surrounds and surround rears kind of lack at time due to them being flush on the wall. I am hoping to try this even though my wife walked by, looked at the pics and just said no before I could make a peep. Thanks for stepping out and...
These are some really good questions and the folks on AVS will be able to help you further. I have not heard the 830s however, I use the 820 for surrounds and rears. They are four way speakers and sound really good to me. The LC2 basically has the same drivers as the L880 tower. It is a grat...
I would have agreed with you a year ago however; with the dollar weakening in the foreign markets,it is costing more dollars per local unit of currency to get the work done. Still not level but not as advantageous as it once was.
With the quality of upconverters, blue ray player and HD sat/cable sets, you should be able to use the AVR for mostly audio and let the video just pass through. If you have a decent monitor, it will handle the deinterlacing/upconversion for you. I hope this helps. Hope this helps
The results are from the craigsub list on AVS. Not trying to make you second guess however, if Ihad my choice and the money, I would get a SVS b-stock at 1149 without blinking. They are black with the cloth grill. Eventhough the Av123 will not got as low or as loud, it is plenty for most...
I believe that you have answred your own question. I have not heard either of these subs however; they have both: 1.) received rave reviews 2.) come from reputable companies 3.) have a 30 day in home trial 4.) both have bstock sales going on PB 13 ultra $1,149.00 and the MFW (if any are left...
Hi All, As my signature states, I have a JBL Studio L setup powered by a Pio 94. The system sounds awsome however; I am looking to see if I can make it sound even better. I am satisfied with the speakers as they are laughing at the power ceuurently being sent to them. My question is if the...
I own this unit and it is actually HDMI 1.2 as stated in the notes section on the bottom of page 50. I have been passing 1080p material with no problems and the back channels are awesome on this thing. The unit playes like a champ however; I am just getting around to sending it in for the HDMI...
I would go with the 8" driver if you can. On another note, why not check the auctions and consider piecing together a Studio L system. If you want to go with 6", take a look athe L880 and match it with an LC2. I like the LC1 however if youget the 880 and the LC2, you will have all identical...
I have a question and two comments. Did you get the PA 6Fs with the new driver configuration? They changed it from a 2 way to a three way system and added a mid range driver. I like the surrounds too. I sold them but I believe they are nice. The sub is a mini monster and I still have...
Hi Eric, I have a pair of the Koss MV-1s and they really sound great. THey are comportable and built well. If you plug them into a receover that has a built in suround simulator, you will really be in for a treat. They can be had for less than $120 in most places. Hope this helps
As some people know, I love the clarity and openness of the JBL L series. I have owned the 880 and the 890s and still have the 890s. both produce a great amount of bass and are crystal clear. They can both can be had for almost half of what they sold for a year ago on eBay or Amazon with the 5...
Hey Sock, I moved myHSU to the LR and put the PA sub in my office. It sounds great. I am no audiophile but the question is how much bass do you need. This is not a bad sub and I would recommend it to anyone especially if they are on a budget. It complements my speakers well. As for the PA...
In my opinion, if you like JBL, I would step up to the L series. They can be had for a greeat price on Amazon or eBay. I have heard a few people on AVS wishin they had not bought the voice center. If you want to stay with they stadiums which I heard is a good speaker, you might want to ook at...
I have used pioneer and yamaha 7.1 receivers. They will let you configure them as 6.1. The yamaha and pioneer I won will tell you to hook the left or right speaker up and set it up in the middle of the back. Look at the manual..it will tellyou which one to hook (left or right). You will then...
Usually, when someone posts a questions like this, it takes a bit more information like: Room size Openinings to other rooms % HT vs % music Carpet or hardwood these are just a few to get you started but will get you some help I think. Just off the cuff, this is just a 100 pc reveiver...
I would recommend the JBL L830 for mains and the LC2 for a center. This will actually get you some quality great sounding speakers for less than you are willing to pay. They are both only 5" deep and can be had on eBay or Amazon for a fraction of what they used to cost. Hope this helps.
I suggest you take a look at other speaker companies and make a decision after yo have had a chance to look around and shop for value and sound. What is the layout of your room? what is your budget? Will the system mostly be used for music or movies? Is a sub in your budget? I am not...
Wow all and thanks for the help. For these prices, I'll just get a nice home system for the LR and guess. I think that if I was in the business and using it a lot, this would make sense. It kinda of like buying a bulldozer to knock down a tree. Thanks for the help. It seems to be cheaper to get...
