I have encountered similar problem with a handful of my DVDs. I don't remember most of the title but the one that really ticks me off is the original version of Devil's Advocate (the one with the original sculpture that's digitized on the re-release due to copyright issue). I also...
that's what I'm afraid too. Better SR than its predecessor means more wiggle room for the sensor to do the SR compensation. How long will that sensor be dead accurate is still a question mark. On the other hand, I've never used a digital SLR body for longer than 2 years anyway.
you are absolutely correct. I go ape crazy on high ISO only AFTER the optics, colour rendition, etc have been fulfilled properly. High ISO performance alone, just like MP count, means absolutely nothing in itself.
It realy depends on your shooting style. I take a lot of dimly-lit indoor scenes and concerts; for my photography style clean high-ISO is the utmost importance. Even during film days I shot a lot with ISO 1000 and 1200. So now I shoot a lot with ISO 1600.
make sure you get the one with the correct length (the adapter, I mean). The S3 is a super-tight-fit when the Canon add-on lens is added in front of the original lens. A lot of the tubes out there are about 1 to 2 mm too short. This will cause the actual camera lens hitting the add-on lens...
I'm in a rush so I'll just answer in point form. 1. any filter with 58mm diameter will do. 2. you can NOT add filter after you add the conversion lenses because the add-on lenses don't have threads. 3. S3 will NOT be able to take advantage of any card faster than 80x (approx) other than for...
I've actually tried the effectiveness of the in-body shake reduction vs in-lens shake reduction. From 18-125, there's hardly any difference for everyday use. Beyond 125 you can already see the advantage of in-lens shake reduction. Beyond 200 you can CLEARLY see the advantage of in-lens shake...
Not agree or disagreeing with you, but the one thing I hate most from digital is that people (read: clients) tend to think that MP count is the only important thing about photography. Every single client asked "how many MP is your camera?" or some client sneered at me because I'm using an 8.2 MP...
IIRC it's equivalent to 38mm. Also when you attach the add-on lens, don't forget to tell the camera (via the setup menu) that you're using the add-on lens and the camera will adapt to the lens. I've tried it on and off (the add-on-lens mode, I mean) and the pictures are better when it's toggled...
DTS-HD Master Audio can only be transferred via HDMI or analog right? there is no DTS downconversion option, AFAIK, based on the info page on dts website.
I'm thinking about buying the HD DVD Jarhead. Now I don't like war movies in general with the exception of Black Hawk Down and Three Kings. Given the above information, will I like Jarhead? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Terri
regardless, the actual question remains unanswered. Will the VC-1 BD will be marked as such? If not, I will never buy any BD. I don't want to accidentally get an MPEG2 BD and not being able to return it.
I have to disagree, Aeon Flux, Van Helsing, Swordfish, Ray, Phantom of the Opera, even the so-called "botched transfer" Tomb Raider are still leaps and bounds than the SD DVD counterpart. Even my pre-teen daughter can see and hear the difference. Regardless, I hope this news open up the...
