Mark, You have the "first generation" double sided 2 disc sets of the Starburst releases. They have been re-issued in 4 disc single sided sets and according to Richard D Ramirez on Page 6 of this thread (#152) he states that the re-releases are numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 (he didn't state 2.1...
Thanks David, I am going to order the rest of season 1 and 2.1 and 2.2 from dvdsoon.com as it's a great deal. I know what you mean about dvdsoon.com being dodgy. If I order them today, maybe I'll get them before Christmas and they won't cancel my order and declare bankruptcy and keep my...
Hi Richard, Thanks for the quick response. I haven't heard of dvdpacific.com before, I will have to check them out. Currently dvdsoon.com (a Canadian etailer) has a sale on, and they have most of the Starburst DVDs on sale for $10.98 CDN (which would be like almost free for you). I...
Hi Richard, Where did you purchase your 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc DVDs? All the brick and mortar shops around me don't carry Farscape and I don't want to order online for fear of getting the dreaded flipper (double-sided) discs. I would much rather have the reissued 4 disc Starburst discs for...
I preordered this title from amazon.ca (as a blind buy), but it still hasn't shipped. Yet, I see that my Flash dvds are in a Ready to ship status. Go figure
Hi there, Does anybody have the correct order that the episodes should be watched in. I tried the link http://www.earth2tv.com/information/episodes.html that Mikah provided but that site seems to have been hacked. Thanks Troy
Today at lunch (in Ottawa, ON) Future Shop had the X-Files Seasons 1-9 on sale for $64.99 CDN each. Future Shop also had Millenium Seasons 1 and 2 on sale for $39.99 CDN each. Don't know how long this sale will last, but I will finally be able to complete my X-Files collection (had...
Hey Jeff, I'm a youngster (1973) and I will be buying it. I've never seen Time Tunnel before, but I love Sci-fi, so it should be right up my alley. Troy
Good topic, What (most) TV on DVD buyers want Doing TV on DVD "wrong" can only decrease sales, it can never increase them. Is there a person on this planet who says, "I refuse to buy this DVD unless the shows are cut or sped up?" Of course not. So here is my list: - Complete season...
Thanks (didn't think of putting 3w's and a dot in front of amazon.ca) I mean the actually link to the set. I did a search for buffy and didn't see it (maybe I need glasses :D ) Troy
In the last month I have purchased:
Stargate SG1: Seasons 1,2,3,4,5 (sale at dvdsoon.ca, still waiting for #5)
Farscape (Starburst editions 1,2,3) (cheap from dvdsoon.ca, still waiting for all three though)
Kindred: The Embraced; Complete Series (cheap from dvdsoon.ca)
Earth 2: Complete...
I have no problem with studios releasing boxed sets for a lower cost. It makes sense, the people that really want a product will buy it when it is released for top dollar, then over time, once sales start to fall off, studios lower the price (or release a boxed set for lower cost) for the people...
In Canada, Future Shop (Best Buys cousin) has ST:TOS and ST:TNG on sale for $99.99 CAD (regular $160 CAD), the online stores (amazon.ca and dvdsoon.ca) normally sell them for ~$130. I got excited and almost bought season 1, then realized it is still double the cost of other series that I buy...
I just bought seasons 1-5 from dvdsoon.ca a couple of weeks ago, they had them 2 for $60 CAD (I'm still waiting for season 5 to ship). I think the sale is done though. Future Shop (Best Buy North) has them for $35.99 CAD (or they did last week). I have just finished watching the first season...
I live in the Ottawa area and have been to Wal-Mart, Future Shop (2 of them), Best Buy, HMV and Music World and none of them have it. DVDsoon.ca doesn't carry it, and amazon.ca says that it's 2-3 weeks delivery time. Makes it kinda hard to buy, when you can't find it.
Thank you Travis for clearing up the shorten episode issue. I feared that it was cut, but with your assurances, my fears have been laid to rest. I will have to visit Best Buy tonight and see if I can snag myself a copy.
I looked for it at Wal-Mart and Future Shop yesterday but they didn't have it in my area. I was going to pre-order this, but then I heard that episode 2 "And All Through the House" was 5 minutes shorter than the other episodes, so I was kind of waiting for some feedback on whether this episode...
