I watched the 1st few episodes and the special features - a slide show and an interview with Kathy Garver (Sissy). Maybe I'm an old softy - but I had tears in my eyes watching episodes 1 and 2. The sincerity and warmth between Brian Keith and the kids puts a lump in my throat ... The video...

At 910 minutes, with 35 episodes, that's 26 minutes per episode. Seems that they will not be cut or altered. Of course, never having seen the show, except for the 20 some episodes that TV Land kept airing a few years ago, I wouldn't know if the shows were altered anyway. Sorry that you didn't...

Mikel: I can't find an email address for Mr. Staddon. Please don't let that discourage you from taking a minute to send off a polite request to Fox to give the green light to Mod 3 (Matt Asner's company)to continue producing great bonus material for the MTMS sets to come!
Here's Peter Staddon's address at Fox: Mr Peter Staddon Senior Vice President, Marketing Twentieth Century–Fox Home Entertainment, Inc. PO Box 900 Beverly Hills, CA 90213-0900 USA
Bad news on the bonus feature front. After sending a question to Matt Asner (the coproducer of the material on seasons 1/2) about the status of the future of bonus material on the remaining MTMS sets, he had this to say "Mark, Thank you for your email and your letter. It means a lot to my...
So the money to be made by issing the rights to a dvd release versus a tv broadcast is the issue. How does this influence shows that go into syndication? I have never heard music cut from their airings - eg: White Christmas snatch sung by Mary in the MTMS Christmas episode always intact when...
Thanks for the feedback to my questions. I just wanted to state that the MTM Show on dvd is doing very well, in terms of amazons sales anyway - both Seasons 1 and 2 have been on sale for $15 each for the last week or so. Consequently, they're ranking in the top 100s. Could you please explain...
Does anyone know if Mary's short lived series, following the MTM Show are available - Mary (78) MTM Hour (79) and Mary (85)? Has anyone thought of including selected episodes as bonus features on future season sets of the MTM Show? What I don't understand is why "Dick Van and the Other Woman"...
Fox has classic tv sets on sale for up to 50% off. You can order these through amazon's dvd blowouts page. In fact, other studios are on sale too. Check it out!
The daily ratings do reflect the popularity of the titles - if TMTMS is ranking #30 on the Fox list and #300 on the overall Amazon list, this should indicate strong sales. TMTMS leading up to its release in July was ranking about #30. Since then, it's been hovering around the #300 mark. Not bad...
According to Amazon, today Season 2 is # 33 and Season 1 is #48, on Fox's top 100 dvd sales. I would think that these numbers warrant further releases of season sets. Considering that I have seen no ads anywhere for the release of season 2 (July 26), imo, these figures are quite respectful.
Matthew A: Just curious - Did you contact Sony yet? At the risk of harping on this, I encourage members who expressed wanting the release of the classics mentioned in this thread, to contact Sony TV (address in my last post),and let your voices be heard. I'd like to think our united pleas...
MatthewA: The address for sony is sonypictures.com. The link I used to provide my intial question re plans for Hazel was [email protected]. It was from that email that they repsonded with opportunity to sign up for their on-line newsletter - Spotlight. My welcome email asked for...
I emailed Sony TV this past week, asking if they planned to release Shirley Booth's classic "Hazel" on DVD any time soon. The very next day, they replied "no cuurent plans". I was encouragegd to register for their on-line newsletter, however, to keep abreast of upcoming releases. The newsletter...
