Why do studios even bother paying for CSS on DVD these days? Fellas, the cat's out of the bag. Save your money. It's a good idea that should have been attempted years ago but the price is ridiculously high. Add shipping costs and I could be getting a Criterion.

It's pretty shameful of Paramount to exclude the director of this documentary, Mr. Hickenlooper. To find out about this release from a website after he campaigned for years to get it out on DVD is a major insult. And to not even be asked for input into his creation for this DVD speaks volumes...

Um I hope its an oversight on the part of DavisDVD and a commentary with Gordon & Combs and possibly others will be included on From Beyond. They had mentioned recording one ages ago.

Wow, I thought that disappointing version shown on FX was going to be the same one included on this DVD. This is a real surprise and more of what I was expecting when an extended version was advertised last year. BTW, here's the link to that IGN review.

A bit off topic but I was wondering, was there ever a definitive answer from Warners explaining the music change in RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 2? Was it solely due to music rights clearances or did they mistakenly grab the wrong track?

Count me as another fan. I'm not holding my breath for one but I'd buy a special edition in a heartbeat. It's a fun movie that plays out like a deja-vu version of the first one but flavored with the phoniness of L.A. That shot-clock sequence rules and it has one of the best endings ever.

I couldn't believe it myself but TCM showed the Italian version with subs last night. I almost didn't record it either because I already had it from last summer. This version didn't have the blind dance scene. I'm really psyched that TCM got hold of this for last night's broadcast.
