25-31 @22Hz would be nice, as it's a lot smaller than 20-39. I'd go for it. Btw PB10 is tuned at 17.5Hz I believe.

Every amp does that, some less some more. You shouldn't hear it very well, if do, there might be something wrong. If it don't bother you, don't bother. ;)

I've got 5x 9.1 with a Sony DB790. I really like them, though my concretewall room and the acoustics suck big time. My friend has 2x 9.4 and 2x 9.1 same amp. He likes them.. Another friend has 2x 8.2, a center and 2x 8.1. I've never listened these side by side, so I can speak only for...

(That extra 1,5" comes from the baseplate, and applies to whole PCi-line*) I'd definitely go with either 25 or 20, 16 I can do with my PB10. :b * not really sure about that after all

I also have Wharfes. That 6 is only the minimum, it changes with the Freq. So it doesn't really matter if it's 6 or 8, with a recent/decent amp of course.

There are at least 20 happy customers in FINLAND. And you guys surely won't even know where that is! :D (but I bet Ron does)

What about PB12-ISD/2? That is a big room after all.. Although, if 1000$ is the budget, I'd stretch and get the ultimate PCU (the best driver, med-size cylinder). Heck, 150$ ain't much. :)

I'm not into this sub-war, we have our own on a finnish forum. LOL They have a hard time believing that a 550€ sub can beat twice as pricy Velos (in numbers) for example. I can't really say anything about Hsu's, that was just a quote from the shootout. They don't ship here, so we'll just have...

Nice welcoming.. :) I think you just have to try, order some sub and set it up right with a BFD and a mic, RS-meter for example. No one else can tell you _exactly_ how it performs there, maybe hint you in a direction. 1) Location & room 2) Setup (EQing, levels, crossover on amp, FR etc..)...

I'd say rather 20-39PCi (same cylinder-shell as Ultra) than 25-31. Goes lower, not that loud on upper levels, but still way enough. If you want to ensure the power capabilities and a better driver, 20-39PC+ it is. Your room ain't small.. (I've got PB10 in a 13x10 room, and it's plenty!)

Even PB10 goes low enough!

Very happy with my PB10.. not sure about my neighbours, they inhabit in every direction.
