I just got this in the recent Amazon BOGO. Has anyone noticed that the video is slightly ahead of the audio? I'm playing this on my 40gb PS3 with the latest firmware. The extras audio seems to be in sync but the Feature audio is behind. I have restarted my PS3 and changed audio settings etc. a...

OOTP is NOT a combo in the set, which is a plus to me. The HD DVD set I have is perfect.

This info just made me switch my choice to the HD set, that and the fact that Goblet of Fire also has an IME track. The A&E doc was fluff to me.

Just like the Shawshank Redemption is being released on HD :D

Mine came today. All the Universal titles have the slashes on the back, and if that weren't enough, they sent U-571 instead of my select The Perfect Storm. Disgraceful

I personally thought the video transfer was much much worse than what is reported here. Maybe I'm too spoiled by HD DVD by now but ugh what a horrible looking picture.

I just received my HD-A2 From VE. It's connected through HDMI and I have the output resolution set at up to 720p. All my Standard DVDs when read by the player say Cannot play disc, check the disc. Parental locks are off as well. What can this issue be? I have no HD DVD discs yet to check the...

I'm almost positive that Friends was shot on film, it certainly doesn't have the video look and there is some film grain throughout the seasons. The older seasons really DO need a cleanup.

I saw among Warner's release list, Friends Season One. Any ideas for when this will arrive, perhaps this year? For A True HD Transfer, I think they'd have to go back, clean up and re-edit the episodes ala Seinfeld, correct? Any further info on this yet?

There's also a free but perhaps more meticulous way to take any audio streams from a DVD's audio, even separate the 5.1 channels to their own separate wav files, though I'm not sure if such instructions or things are allowed to be posted around here. Google "besweet" and see results.

Thanks for posting. So sick of these multiple DVD editions. The days of 2 disc editions ONLY appear to be over. Now lately there has to be a extra price to pay.

Thanks for the news. IMHO Singer should've stayed with X-Men, I think he did a great job wit the first 2 and could've followed up with the 3rd. I didn't need another Superman movie.

Wow from that review it seems like the great hour retrospective that aired before the finale isn't included at all.

None of these screen caps do the new transfer any justice. All of the caps look pretty inaccurate compared to how my copy looks on my set. I too was skeptical but I'm convinced now its a great improvement. :emoji_thumbsup:

I think the Ed Sullivan DVD's picture quality are pretty good for their age. But the non-beatles stuff is a waste and garbage. They pretty much edited a whole bunch of performances (usually taking out a whole verse or 2) that were full when they were first aired.

I'm glad they're releasing in its 16:9 Wide Screen OAR :emoji_thumbsup:
