    Name of a Sitcom?

A friend and I were talking and he tried to remember the name of a sitcom about a teen boy and the au pair his family hired, maybe from Australia? (Not Mr. Belvedere) The boy's name was Danny or Denny and the au pair was Lisa, I think. Does this sound familiar to anyone???

    Salvage 1

Only releasing one episode - and not the pilot - makes no sense to me. But I'll be buying it!

    Shout Factory to Release Fridays

Do we know if this "best of" set is going to have whole, complete episodes? What if (heaven forbid) they just do what they consider "best of" segments.

    What's next for BCI?

Any word on The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty or Zorro or The Lone Ranger? They were part of the Filmation announcement a year ago and were supposedly scheduled for 2007. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for these releases!

    TV Guide Acquires TVShowsonDVD.com

First and foremost, congratulations Gord and Dave! You created a fantastic website and deserve to be rewarded. I must admit, my initial reaction was "OH NO!!!" But I guess I'll take a wait and see attitude on where the site goes from here. I agree with others who've said that they hope the...

    "Mary Hartman" Where Art Thou?

I'd love to see MH2 on DVD, as well. I wonder, though, how it might be done considering that, as Jeff pointed out, the amount of episodes is pretty steep. Changing the subject somewhat...Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a new business model come forth for dealing with soap operas. How...

La Femme Nikita- 5th and final season in October

I'm thrilled, too! I've been a fan since LFN premiered and I'm so glad WB has followed through with the DVDs. It was looking a little iffy for a while there, but now we'll have the complete series on DVD. I'll finally be able to throw out my tapes!

    Lois & Clark Worth It??

L&C seems to divide fans. Some adore the show, some loathe it. Personally, I'm in the ADORE category, at least for the first two seasons. I don't watch Smallville, so I can't speak to your tastes. But with L&C, the focus is more romance than action-adventure. The first season especially was...

    Gilmore Girls fans

GG was my absolute favorite show for five years...but sadly, S6 sucked! Just my opinion, of course. But I won't be buying the S6 DVDs.

I'm not giving anything away, but you're in for such a good time! The episodes just get better and better!!!!!

    Veronica Mars question

I watched Veronica Mars from the very first airing of the pilot last year and it instantly became my favorite show on TV! I'd say it's definitely worth buying. And if you catch S1 now, you'll be ready to purchase S2 in August. Then, when S3 begins on CW, you'll be all caught up!!!

Why the high MSRP for Femme Nikita?

I'm with you, Linda. I love, love, love La Femme Nikita and will pay whatever it takes to have the series on DVD. I concur that the high price has something to do with the music licensing. I'm just grateful that the music has been left intact, because it is so necessary to the show, IMO.

    Eight is Enough

I would love to see Eight is Enough come out on DVD! It was definitely a favorite of mine. I wonder what the holdup is. It was a pretty successful series, both ratings-wise and among the younger fan base, and I can't imagine that there'd be a music problem. Plus, the reunion movies that they did...

David E. Kelley's TV Series Finally Coming to DVD ?

I'm glad to hear the news about Ally McBeal, but my most-wanted show is PICKET FENCES!!! I hope that there's enough people who would buy PF, because I want all the seasons! Leona

    Gilmore Girls fans

Jay: YES, you should DEFINITELY check out Gilmore Girls. Judging from your list of favorite shows, I have a feeling you will love GG!!! My personal favorite is Season 1, but all the seasons have been enjoyable, IMO. -Leona

Gilmore Girls Seasons 4 and 5 out in next 3 months!

Gilmore Girls has been my favorite show on TV since it debuted. Nice to see more people discovering this gem of a show. And even nicer to see posts by guys who are fans. I swear, it's amazing how many guys who would like the show refuse to give it a try because they think it's a "chick show."...

What are you hoping for in 2006?

What am I hoping for in 2006? I'm hoping to win the lottery so I can afford all the TV DVDs I want. :) As for new releases, I'd like to see: Picket Fences The MOD Squad The Six Million Dollar Man The Bionic Woman Shazam Isis Welcome Back Kotter Salvage 1 Eight Is Enough Action...

    TV westerns list.

Definitely "The Lone Ranger!" Also, I would love "How The West Was Won," both the miniseries and the series. What a huge crush I had on Bruce Boxleitner back then!

    George Reeves' Superman on DVD

Truthfully, I never had any need for chemistry between Lois and Superman/Clark. I watched The Adventures of Superman strictly for Superman. Funny...as a kid, I remember always thinking that Noel Neill's Lois was such a wimp. As a matter of fact, I never had any need for the Lois character...

If studios released TV shows in their full seasons for download .....

I've often thought that a plan similar to this would be a good way to offer soap operas to fans. Suppose the studio offered a flat fee per episode. The fan could choose what he/she wants and the episodes are put on DVD and sent directly to the person. Downloading would be too cumbersome for...

    George Reeves' Superman on DVD

A bit OT, but wow, that sounds very much like what happened to Lois & Clark. I loved L&C and can admit that there were some very good episodes after the first season, but after creator Deborah Joy Levine was forced out at the end of season 1, L&C was forced to cater to a younger, action-oriented...

Lois and Clark possibly in 2005!

Hmmm...I was aware that when they re-aired the pilot later in two parts, they put back some of the footage that had been edited out of the original airing, but I didn't know that the "Lois in disguise" scene had been put back. Oh well, whatever. All that matters is that it's intact on the DVD.

Lois and Clark possibly in 2005!

Thanks Pavan. Whew!!! Gord, the "complete" pilot that I'm referring to was shown in Europe and technically, it is what should have been shown here in the States. It begins with Lois in disguise as a man. That scene was never shown in the U.S. because ABC felt that the show should begin with...
