i'm glad i sold my bose;). I suggest you sell it on ebay (~$900 if new) and get a pair of polkaudio rti8 at circuitcity. For the receiver, i would go for yamaha htr-5760 (~$360 total), it's a very good receiver for the price.
I have much better signal with an amplified splitter than a regular one. I'm using Electroline EDA 2400 (1 to 4). You can find it on ebay at a very affordable price. Dan
The lsi-9s' Nominal Impedance is 4 ohms, your Harmon Kardon AVR130 will not handle it well, and you will occasionally experience temporary shut down of the receiver . I suggest you to either get a receiver or a power amplifier that can handle 4 ohms load. Or you can get the rti8s for $300...
