Can be had right now at BestBuy for 339 (shows in cart- tell them in the store), it is in their weekly ad. With available online coupons you can get it to around 300. Bargain
I bought an LG BH200 for $469 last month, and I love it, it also got me into BD. RIGHT NOW BB is having a sale on them, they are listed as $399, but put it in your cart and it lists it as 339(bring the flyer into BB or just tell them to look it up in the store), and there are also 10% of...
The LG BH200 also stretches 4x3 content if you ask it to upconvert. If you run it at 480, it leaves the aspect alone. Some folks are making a big deal about this, I do not, because my display is going to convert it to it's native resolution anyway.
The latest FW is dated 6-20-08 , but it just came out like 2 weeks ago. I don't have any of the brand new titles, so I am not certain if there will be an issue. I went through the release list, and it looks like the newest title I have is Rambo lll (May27), I have played all but the new...
The BH200 IS a quality BD player, and it does well with SD, which most BD players do not. It Bitstreams ALL of the advanced codecs, and decodes all but DTS-HD/MA. Fabulous machine IMO, it runs better than my A1 and my A2. EZ to update via USB stick, takes 5 minutes or so(after dl of course)...
Turn down the contrast(listed as picture?) NOW!! Get it out of Vivid mode, and keep the contrast down to at least 0 for 100 hours. Thats my take, I just bought the same TV, but 42", and I set the picture to -3 I think, and it's plenty bright.
How high does the screen need to be? The 1000U has significant offset, so unless you have high ceilings(using a ceiling mount of course) it will be lower on the projecting wall. At 84" diagonal size, the offset will be about 14" from the center of the lens, in other words, wherever you mount...
This thread is a JOKE of EPIC proportions IMO. The OP wants a new pair of drivers, shipping and repair for free, meanwhile HE blew them overdriving them with distortion, after coming on here complaining of his "Treatment", he treats everyone on here with disdain, everyone else here is wrong...
I think Dave has been MORE than reasonable in regards to this issue IMO. IMO, YOU taxed them with a ton of distortion, and have probably been doing it for years..... I'm surprised they held up as long as they did myself... I'd take Dave up on his generous offer myself, but thats YOUR...
Yeah, but they will also run tests on that speaker, and maybe even run some MM tests on the XO, which will take a bit more time. Dave and crew test every speaker B4 it leaves, so you can bet on it that they will check to make SURE that when the speaker leaves, it's as good as new. Probably...
I own Ascends myself, but I don't hesitate to talk warranty about anything. It does sound to me like the amp was clipping badly, and damaged the speakers AVRS do NOT deliver what they claim X 5 channels( some are ATROCIOUS LIARS!!!!) at once.. Some are reasonable..... I have read about...
I've only heard the Boston VRM60. They look and sounded great to me, and can be found for about 1/2 price these days, if you can find them(I did, but the VRM50 are easier to find). I didn't end up buying them because I couldn't find a VG Boston Center to match them ( VR12 or VR920), but I...
I know all about that, I used to butt heads on the very same forums..... I don't bother with that kinda fanboy stuff anymore. Use what ya think is good, and enjoy it!! Happy Holidays, muzz
I'm not sure what Ohms Law has to do with anything here. The numbers matchup fine. I'm surprised at you Luis, I usually don't see that kind of thing from ya. Peace muzz
I have a simple Yamaha HTR-5550 (5.1x75W), running 170se mains, and a 340SE CC, and it has no issues at all. This 75Wx5 AVR powers these with ease, so my answer is: ANY DECENT AVR will power the 340 SE frontstage without issue. My 170 se mains are even less sensitive than the 340 se's, and...
John I believe you asked this in AVS as nohjy( if I'm wrong please excuse me), and I will state the same as I stated there in case you didn't see it. The Hitachi is a great looking set, I have the 57S700 and the picture is VG as far as I can see.
I know nothing of that particular set, but I have read threads regarding the issue you speak of.... I see alot of talk about the blue focus when this issue is mentioned, when folks do tight focus(on blue) that blue halo you asked about becomes a PITA, to the point that some folks just defocus...
I got almost the same TV you ask about a lil over 2 weeks ago ( I got the 57S700- built in tuner and Optical out, plus 2 IEEE94 ports),and yes the 57" and the 65" Split into 2 sections. It is very ez to do. This is my 1st RPTV, but I have seen others in action and this unit looked great OOTB...
