Despite a few missteps, PSB have had a consistent forty year run. Will they rise to the greatness of the glory days? Maybe not. But I'm still excited when they release something new...not something I can say about bands that have been around half as long.
Watched this on AMC+ tonight. An interesting twist on the overwrought found footage genre. It started out interesting but really hit its stride in the second half. I wish the effects had been better (the “spouting“ scene was awful) but I generally liked the story and the cast was really good...
Living in Chicago we have three Targets: regular, City Target and Super Target. I don’t think the City Targets carry and media other than a few hot video games and books. The regular Targets have fairly good video game and book sections but CDs, DVDs and vinyl have been severely limited (see my...
Welcome! I decided to check my profile…I just hit TWENTY YEARS here! I’m less of a collector as I’ve gotten older but this is a great resource for finding good movies and shows that might have flown under the radar. Welcome and enjoy the great HTF community!
Watched this on Prime.
What a mess. Nothing scary, Ellen Burstyn was wasted, far too much was a rehash of the original but with none of its soul (pardon my choice of words!).

The Prowler (1981)
Judging by most of the online reviews and ratings I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this. In 1945 a soldier kills his unfaithful girlfriend when he returns home from his duty. He leaves a red rose at the scene. Fast forward to 1980. A high school prom is back in full force...
Interesting list. Yes, a majority of those are British and almost none are available in the US. There may be some available on YouTube possibly. I am a huge Twilight Zone/Night Gallery fan, but HATED towards the end of the series when they started showing full length episodes of The Sixth Sense...
The Hole In The Ground
I really wanted to like this. It starts out good, there are some great “what’s REALLY going on here“ scenes, but in the end it was just okay.
Sarah and her young son move into a remote farmhouse to start over (she’s either separated or divorced) and strange things start...
I watched Saltburn last night. I loved it!
My thoughts:
The less you know going in, the better.
It’s a pitch black comedy and a drama.
Fantastic cast!
It’s definitely NOT for everyone. It’s about love, jealousy, social/economic class, sex, ambition and so much more.
It was NOTHING like what I...
I really enjoyed Summer of 85 (streaming on Tubi and Hoopla). When Alex has a boating accident, a stranger David, comes to the rescue. The two French teenagers become friends quickly despite having different outlooks on life. The movie follows their progression from friends to lovers, but it’s...
It Comes At Night (2017)
THIS is how you make a good horror film! It just jumps right in: there’s some sort of plague (“sickness“) that’s killing people. End of setup. We don’t know any real details. We don’t know when or where this takes place. We don’t know how it started or how long it’s...
Chicago has been CRAZY. Yesterday it was 53. Monday we may break our record 73 degrees. But in 2015 I took these pictures along Lake Michigan in Racine (about 50 miles north of Chicago). A crazy contrast!
I agree. The CGI/effects people need to watch Godzilla-1.0 or any of the recent Planet of the Apes movies to see what realistic, quality effects look like.
I watched this on Paramount Plus last night. What a FANTASTIC movie! I don’t remember too much about how it was originally marketed but I highly recommend watching this!
