The question is, given an HD source, will I see a better picture (in reality, not theoretically) on my plasma with HD feed versus SD cable feed. My guess is yes, for the reason you mentioned, but I don't know what the limiting factor is in SD Cable - the source data, or the screen resolution...
I have a Gateway ED Plasma. I'm wondering if I would see an improvement in my regular television if I were to get HDTV cable, which of course would get downconverted to work on my TV. Would it be better than regular cable? Anyone do this? Thanks! Ed
I too have the Sony unit and would greatly appreciate info on: Mark the cataloging is easily taken care of with supernudelist and a philips pronto I now have access to any disc by name with a few clicks on my pronto's screen. How does this work? Thanks!
Alas, no such connection exists on my unit. The Sony ES model has a Control-S input - can't tell if that is the same sort of thing. Anyone know? I could "upgrade" to the ES, I suppose. Any electrical engineers out there - what can we do to dampen this interference?
Thanks for the input. The problem isn't with my IR receiver, but rather with my DVD player's IR receiver, which doesn't like the plasma. All other IR gear works fine. So I can't get a plasma friendly receiver unless there is a way to chop out the DVD's IR receiver and replace it. Ideas? Thanks,Ed
