So when I purhcased Star Wars I at Walmart for $10 on opening day. Who was losing more money? Walmart, or the manufacturer? :emoji_thumbsup: Also, prices being low really encourages the average movie watcher to purchase a DVD player...which further drives the technology.
I went from an older Sony player to the 8040 and am VERY impressed with the film-like quality the Mistubishi produces. Action scenes and fast pans are smooth. DCDi chip provides rich detail of video. Discs take kind of long to load, and it's silver. my 2 cents Craig™
When the Extreme version of Terminator 2 came out, it was transfered from the High Definition Master reel. However, DTS was not included, unlike the Silver Cased version I have. So are we to expect a better picture and worse sound? Craig™
There have been several "updated" DVD's such as X-Men 1.5 and LOTR that have DTS. The first released DVD's were in DD. Are the movies DTS because they have just the movie on one disc, and all the extras on seperate discs? If that's the case, then the recording studio must think DTS sounds...
